Customer Review Summary
Chips draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers describing the salt and pepper or salt and chilli versions as crisp, well seasoned, a huge portion, and still crunchy after the drive home. Beef with black pepper and mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken, BBQ spare ribs, and the curry sauce also earn compliments, along with fast delivery. Chow mein divides opinion. One reviewer found tender, savoury beef, while others report thin sauce and undercooked noodles, or raw beef, burnt noodles, and too much oil, and one raises food poisoning as a worry. A recurring complaint comes from longtime customers who say standards have slipped, citing battered salt and pepper ribs, a disappointing roast duck, hardly fried rice, bland chicken curry, and salty plain Singapore noodles. Two wonder whether the chef has changed. One reviewer reports rude staff and wrong orders, with no apology when the mistake was raised.

“Lovely sweet and sour chicken. Beef chow mein came in a gravy which we weren’t used too but it was nice. BBQ spare ribs were lovely! Fast delivery too!”

“Fried rice was extremely poor - hardly fried if at all. Chicken curry was extremely bland, near zero flavour or kick although plenty chicken however divided into very odd shaped pieces like tofu. Strangely enough the chips were the best I've had from a chinese - huge portion and perfect crisp on outside, fluffy in middle. The premises are immaculate and it's clearily a very busy place so perhaps I was unlucky.”

“Ordered Singapore noodles from this place and it was just lump of salty plain noodles with minimum vegetables and meat. Used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway in Edinburgh and sadly not anymore.”

“Very rude staff, poor quality food. Ordered from them on 3 different occasions and was disappointed each time. Doesn't help that the team get the order wrong and offer no apologies when you tell them about it.”

“Ordered on 22nd Jan at 16:55. £22.88 Beef chow mein Cantonese sweet and sour chicken Deep fried wun tun. The chow mein had raw beef, burnt noodles and way too much oil, poorly cut veg. The sweet 'n sour chicken tasted like it was frozen. The wun tuns were okay. The rest was awful, never ordering from again. Food poisoning? No thanks.”
