  “We are from Australia and decided to try Cool Jade on our last night in Edinburgh. WOW!!! Staff were amazing.. attentive, polite and very engaging. Food was next level.. delicious and plentiful!! We would recommend everyone to go! Make sure you book as it's sooo popular!!! We were lucky we ate early so the were able to squeeze us in.”

  “We’ve travelled to many countries, and no matter where we go, we can almost always find a Chinese restaurant. Surprisingly, we’ve never actually dined at one unless we were traveling in Asia. This trip to Edinburgh, I decided it was finally time to change that. The restaurant immediately caught our attention. It has a beautiful exterior, and the name sounded modern and intriguing. In fact, if it weren’t for the Chinese characters on the sign, I probably wouldn’t have even realized it was a Chinese restaurant. What a fantastic surprise! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious—fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. It far exceeded our expectations and reminded us of the quality we’ve enjoyed while traveling in Asia. What made the experience even more memorable was the outstanding hospitality. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked through the door. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back for dinner on our last night in Edinburgh before we head home. That’s probably the best compliment we can give. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, exceptional service, and a wonderful dining experience, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!”

  “I'm so happy I found this place. As someone with coeliac disease, I really struggle eating out because of the risk of cross contamination, and I know how difficult it is to find restaurants you can actually trust. The guy at the reception explained everything to me: the separate fryer, the clean wok they use for gluten-free food, and their whole process. They have a gluten-free menu, but what really impressed me was how knowledgeable they were about their ingredients and their processes and how seriously they take it. I genuinely felt I could completely trust them. This place should be on every gluten-free guide in the UK. I honestly can't recommend it enough, especially if you're coeliac. The food is also amazing, the quality is like a top restaurant, but the prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for what you get. Also, everyone working there is so nice and friendly. Few weeks ago I had one of the best dinners I've had in a while, and today I ordered takeaway and it didn't disappoint at all. Cool Jade is a 10/10. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  “We were a group of Canadians visiting Edinburgh, some from Toronto but mostly from Niagara Falls. We stayed at the hotel across where this restaurant was located. We went there for dinner two times. The food was so delicious. Everything we ordered was so sumptuous and top quality from the steamed whole bass with ginger, spring onion and soy sauce, to the sizzling beef, the sliced roast duck with plum sauce, the chow mein noodles with prawns, singapore rice noodles, asparagus and broccoli with chicken. The fried rice with king prawns was also very delicious. I know I took pictures but unfortunately I couldn’t find them. But I was able to keep the business card that was given to me by the restaurant owner/manager. We will always remember Cool Jade where we had a very memorable time. I’m guessing it’s family owned and we were talking to the owners, a male and female who were very nice and gracious. Customer service was excellent, food was excellent, ambiance was excellent. We will be remembering Edinburgh and this restaurant for a very long time.”

  “This has long been our favourite restaurant in Edinburgh. Delicious food, with high quality fresh ingredients. Very warm welcome and efficient service. Very popular so worth calling ahead to book. Tried the salt & pepper aubergine starter this time which was delicious. Kung Po pork is one of my favourites as the roasted pork is well flavoured and tender, and there is plenty of veg with it.”

  “We received an incredibly warm welcome from the moment we arrived. The meal started with a fantastic appetizer featuring a variety of exceptionally delicious specialties, each with its own unique flavor. The fried chicken in lemon sauce was absolutely outstanding—we had never tasted anything quite like it before. The beef strips were equally impressive, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. To finish the meal, we enjoyed delicious fried fruit served with ice cream, which was the perfect ending to an amazing dining experience. What truly made the evening special was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return!”

  “Outstanding Chinese eatery just outside of Edinburgh city centre, opposite the zoo and down from Corstorphine. Have eaten here many times and very good with managing allergies, particularly gluten free. The staff and service are absolutely brilliant and always a lively atmosphere when we go. Can’t recommend enough if you are in the area. Highly recommend booking in advance.”

  “I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was simply outstanding every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. What truly stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. They made us feel genuinely valued and ensured everything was perfect throughout our visit without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are equally exceptional, but this restaurant absolutely delivers on both. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh,you won’t be disappointed!”
