Customer Review Summary

The rooftop view is what reviewers raise most, with city lights at night and the major landmarks easily visible, though one notes that some seats only look onto grey rooftops. Drinks come close behind: well made, nicely presented cocktails, a champagne list with a nice range, a great wine list, and a bar that made cocktails to a guest's preferences. Among the food, diners single out the cheese plate, the smoked fish, and fresh oysters with a great dressing, and one praises the sausages and black pudding at breakfast. Several describe attentive, welcoming service, though one felt rushed by a waitress repeatedly collecting empty glasses in a nearly empty room. Food is the weaker side. One diner found the fondue not good compared with fondue in Switzerland, another called the fondue platter's vegetables basic, and the caviar came in a small portion with dry pancakes. The bacon was too salty for one reviewer, and another had to ask for fresh bread after the breads arrived stale and slightly cool.

“Beautiful view, comfortable seating, nice urban design. Selection of champagnes was a nice range. Smoked fish very good. The breads were stale and slightly cool. We had to request fresh ones. Other dishes and services was meh”

“We loved this chic bar restaurant! Alex, Gerard, Kai, and Mary were extraordinary….attentive and professional without being intrusive. They have a few creative cocktails, a good selection of whiskey, and some nice wines. The cheese plate was five star! There is also a creative cheddar chili popcorn for munching. It’s a great place to grab a drink or snack and check out the views of the city!”

“This place was booked for a very special occasion, and overall the experience felt truly memorable. The venue itself is beautiful and very well situated at the very top, offering a great setting and atmosphere that makes the experience feel even more special. From the start, the service was excellent, with attentive and welcoming staff throughout. We were seated at a window table as requested, which added to the experience with a lovely view. One unique highlight was that the bar could create cocktails based on guests’ preferences. We tried this, and the drinks we received were very well made and enjoyable. For food, we ordered the fondue platter along with oysters and caviar. The fondue platter had a great selection of meats and sides, and most items worked well for dipping. However, the vegetable options felt quite basic and could have been more varied or elevated. The oysters were fresh, well-prepared, and had a great dressing. The caviar was decent, though the portion was quite small—more suitable for one person. It would have been nice to see it paired with something more interesting than pancakes, which felt a bit dry. Overall, it was a great and unique experience, especially for a special occasion, with just a few areas that could be improved.”

“This rooftop terrace has an absolutely amazing view. We went at night and it was honestly wonderful seeing the city lights from up there. It was a bit misty because of the weather, but that almost added to the atmosphere. We’d definitely love to go back in summer to see the view properly on a clear evening. They have outdoor seating as well, which I imagine would be beautiful in better weather, but it was closed when we visited due to the conditions. We ordered wine and a couple of cocktails and they were all very good. The drinks were well made and nicely presented, so no complaints there. The only downside for us was the service. It started off completely fine, but after a while the waitress kept coming back to collect empty glasses quite frequently, which made us feel a bit rushed. The place was actually pretty empty, and they had seated us in one of the best spots with a great view, so we were a bit confused as to why it felt like they wanted us to leave. We were only there for about one to two hours and there were still a couple of hours left before closing time, so it felt slightly strange. That said, the overall atmosphere and the view really stood out. One thing to note is that the entrance is a bit hidden since it’s located at the top of a hotel. When you walk into the lobby, there is a sign indicating where to go, but it’s not immediately obvious from outside. We'll return on a clearer summer evening and hoping that the service will be better too.”
