Customer Review Summary
Diners most often point to the Sunday roast, with a couple describing it as huge and nicely cooked, and a few praise the generous portions overall. Close behind are the chicken dishes, one cooked perfectly with a sauce a reviewer loved, and a crumble one diner called the best they had eaten. A large gluten free menu, a vegan risotto and a cookie dough brownie also get mentions, and several call the staff lovely and the atmosphere family friendly. The main complaints are about pace and execution when the pub is busy. Service is described as quite slow, one family waited a long time for the bill and ended up paying at the bar, and a veggie burger arrived very average and quite cold. A calamari starter was called tight, and a pina colada waffle was hard to chew, though the flavours were there. One reviewer also noted a dark event board near the accessible toilet that is hard to read. One birthday table had a candle on their dessert and the staff sang.

“Popped in without a booking on Sunday afternoon. Luckily we got a table. My wife and I both had a Sunday Roast. Generous portions and nicely cooked. Staff were lovely and a nice family atmosphere. Despite some reviews, couldn’t fault it. Definitely will return.”

“Wow what a place, thank you to the amazing staff for their hospitality, kindness and being so helpful. Another big thank you for putting a candle on my boyfriend’s chosen dessert and singing for him. Beautiful food, highly recommend this stunning pub and restaurant. ❤️”

“Good meal for a very busy pub. Lovely building and huge beer garden. Service was quite slow but it was very busy so understandable. We had a burger each and they were very well cooked and tasty. We would return if back in the area.”

“The Sunday roast was huge and great size. I had the pina colada waffle which I found quite hard to chew but the flavours were there!”
