Quick info
About Coppa Bar & Eatery
Coppa Bar & Eatery is an Asian fusion restaurant in Doncaster, at 2 Plantation Rd. The food comes as tapas-style small plates, and the team advises on dish sizes when you order. Those plates are paired with a cocktail menu and wine by the glass, including orange wine, rosé and fizz, so a table can build a meal around drinks as much as dishes. Draught beers sit alongside the wine and cocktails for anyone who wants something simpler. The bar and kitchen run together, which suits an evening of sharing a few plates over a round of drinks. Brunch is part of the menu too.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the shared plates, naming the saucy wings, a bao bun loaded with meat, and beef croquettes packed with beef. Others list sticky belly pork, beef gyozas, mini fish and chips, and hot honey feta spring rolls, and several call the portions a good size. Cocktails come close behind, with the Limoncello Spritz singled out, alongside draught beers, orange wine and rosé. Reviewers say the staff know their drinks and are helpful in advising on dish sizes. Brunch earns a mention for the Seoul Drip, poached eggs with kimchi on charred focaccia. The criticisms are small: one reviewer wanted more sauce on the croquettes, and another found the mussels' sauce pooled at the bottom of the plate. One returning diner recalled an earlier visit with a long wait for food, tough meat and arrogant staff, but found the second visit the complete opposite, with no substantial wait. Others describe the outside deck as a place for coffee with a dog.

“Great place, a little hidden, off the beaten track, lovely outside deck if you just want a coffee with your pooch. We had brunch, a hearty but stylish full english & a Seoul Drip ( asian style poached eggs, avo, with kimchi & chilli drizzle served on charred focaccia , absolutely divine!) The setting & atmosphere is lovely, a stylish chilled vibe, service on point, well priced. Definitely be back 👍😊”

“My daughter and I came to Coppa today for lunch. We were met by Eva, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had a selection of tapas, including sticky belly pork, mini fish & chips, beef gyozas, crispy chicken with katsu sauce and hot honey feta spring rolls, washed down with a cold glass of rosé. It was all delicious! Will definitely return and hopefully Eva will be there, as she was excellent!! Thank you xx”

“I came here a year ago and it wasn't a great experience. Took forever for the food to come out and the meat was very tough, the staff at the time seemed to excel ignorance and arrogance rather than customer service. HOWEVER, I decided to give Coppa another shot this year and By Jove I'm glad I did. It was the complete opposite of last year, great food that there wasn't a substantial wait for. Friendly, polite, and courteous staff and the vibe produced a good atmosphere. I had a remarkably stupendous evening. Well done to all the team at Coppa, I'm sure I'll be back.”
