  “I decided to try this place tonight and ordered the crispy duck with chilli topping on egg fried rice and the capital sauce and some chicken toasts. And wow absolutely beautiful so tasty and delicious far better than any takeaway. The portion was huge enough for two people. I would definitely recommend and will order again. The lady that served me was lovely explained the menu and advised on portion size showing to me that she genuinely cares about the food she makes and ensuring it doesn’t go to waste. Very nice food 10/10 for me”

  “I had about an hour and half train change in Doncaster in the evening, and, not knowing the city, it was a choice between this place, Greene King, or Cosmo. Very glad I picked here - confirmed cooking time on arrival and they stuck to it, I had the mixed veg tofu and 4-in-1 box, very well fed for just £12. They took my Scottish money, which was a plus. The special Chinese spice topping was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and decor are rough but homely, think handwritten signs everywhere and cardboard boxes. That's a sign they focus on good cooking in my opinion, but if you're going on a posh night out, I'm sure you can find somewhere tidier and more boring. Cash only.”

  “We have tried other Chinese places but no one compares to Toppings - we drive past about 4 other chinese places to get to toppings because it’s worth it!! The couple who run the restaurant are just so lovely too. We love coming in and getting to say hello. Last night we ordered a share box and swapped some stuff out for other things but it wasn’t a problem! We will always support Toppings!”

  “1st time here. What a genuine and wonderful hidden gem. The owner was so pleasant, helpful and kind. Stayed back to ensure our order was fulfilled and the food was absolutely stunning. Generous portion sizes, great value for money too. This is definitely our new local and regular chinese takeaway. Would highly recommend to anyone”

  “WOW THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Nothing is too much trouble for this amazing couple as they will make any dish to your requirements. Honestly the best food I have ever had from this Kind of restaurant (Chinese, Asia style). Great value and great ingredients all made fresh in front of you.”

  “Have eaten here numerous times now. The lady who owns the place is amazing. The food is incredible, and the portions are good sizes, too. I recommend the 1/4 crispy duck on Chow mein, but honestly, everything is good 👍. It's definitely my go-to Chinese in Doncaster. I feel sorry for the other Chinese takeaways in the area having to compete with toppings 🫡”

  “Great little eatery. Everything cooked fresh & piping hot, I have introduced many friends to this place and they have all enjoyed it as much as me. The sweet & sour Cantonese Style Chicken is amazing. Don’t get me started on the Chicken Sesame Toast. Wow it’s just fabulous. We sat in, I only had a soft drink, as I was driving but the do sell alcohol. The owner is a real friendly lady. The prices are amazing too”

  “Came up to visit family and decided to go for the best review score Chinese takeaway..... Was NOT disappointed 👍😁 Absolutely lovely food, freshly made, and delivered, at an excellent price.... What more could you ask for. Highly recommend this place! Will be using again 👌 1 chicken balls, noodles and curry sauce £10. 1 (64) stuffed box small, with all the trimmings £13.”
