About The Leopard
The Leopard is a pub at 2 West St in Doncaster, pouring cask ales across two bar areas: the vaults on the left and the lounge on the right as you enter. Six real ales are split between them, three in each bar, with a craft ale selection alongside. The pub is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and holds a Cask Marque, and card-carrying CAMRA members get a discount. A small room upstairs hosts live music and gigs, and the card-only bottle bar is up there too. A pool table in its own separate area and a jukebox give drinkers something to do between rounds. The kitchen serves pub food, including fish and chips and a cheese burger with home-made chips. Dogs are welcome. The railway station is a short walk away.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the real ales, praising a wide, constantly changing selection split across the bar areas, with a Jolly Boys bitter singled out as very good and several noting CAMRA recognition. Close behind are the live gigs, with bands at weekends and a small upstairs room described as great for an intimate show. The food draws praise too, including juicy cheeseburgers with home made chips, fish and chips described as brill, and Toppings pork pies. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, and the heated outdoor seating and beer garden get regular mentions, along with a pool table, jukebox and table tennis. The main complaints concern seating and food. One reviewer found the upstairs gig room has no seating and is hard for anyone with mobility issues, another said there were not a lot of seats and the pub felt austere, and one visit found no hot food available. Some also note the outdoor music is a bit loud. One visitor who had come from a long train journey for a football match still stopped in for a pint or two before walking to the ground.

“Amazing pub for CAMRA members, great selection of real ales, ciders and draught regulars. Lovely home cooked food and plenty of seating inside and out. Fantastic find located a few minutes from the train station.”

“Argyle on tour 😊‼️6hr train journey to get here so it would be rude not to have a pint or two before watching the match. Not my favourite pub…. pretty austere but apparently it does lots of gigs. Lots of nice ales but not a lot of seats. Walked to the ground in 48 minutes and we won 5 - 1 ‼️😃 Now that doesn’t happen every day 🤣😂”

“Visited here between Christmas and New Year with a group of mates, around 12 of us in total. Bar snack/menu available, I had a couple of sandwiches made, £2.50 each which was okay as far as I was concerned. Beer choice is decent, bar staff are very polite and friendly and it’s probably a good reason for me to visit again as it’s in the city centre and 1 minute walk away from the railway station which I use several times a week. Music venue at weekends. Good, spacious and heated outdoor seating at the back.”

“No trip to Doncaster is complete without visiting this traditional old pub. Vaults on the left, lounge on the right as you enter. 3 different cask ales on sale in each bar.”

“Great small room upstairs that is great for that intimate gig. Not sure if there's a lift so anyone with mobility issues then be aware. No seating upstairs either. Card only bottle bar upstairs too. Didn't have any food therefore no rating for that. Would get a 5 out of 5 stars if there was some seating available for us that have mobility issues.”
