About The Coach and Horses
The Coach and Horses is a pub at 5 Scot Ln in Doncaster, with a live singer and a DJ who plays requests on some nights. The decor takes a traditional pub approach in an 1800s style. At the bar, local ale sits alongside a range of other drinks, and bar food is served for anyone wanting a meal. A food van also operates outside. Karaoke is also part of the entertainment on offer.

Customer Review Summary
Karaoke on a Monday night is the draw reviewers raise most, with one calling it the place to be in Doncaster and another describing a good singer and a DJ playing Bon Jovi songs. Staff come up close behind, described as a fun, friendly group who always go the extra mile, with one person singled out for polite service and another for knowing the drinks range and turning a day around. Reviewers also mention a local ale, a fantastic outdoor area and a dog friendly village pub vibe, and one recalls pub crawl nights spent getting to know the landlord. The caveats are modest but specific. One reviewer finds the 1800s decor a slight let down and asks for a modern update, saying traditional pubs appeal mostly to older drinkers. Food gets mixed treatment: one calls it terrible while praising the staff, and another found the food van outside closed on a rainy day and could not comment. One night ended with a free large sausage roll and beans.

“This public house was on our pub crawl in mid week and weekends back in the day , we got to know the landlord very very well as you can imagine, what a pub along with Biscuit Billys around the corner in silver street and if you want to know why it's called that look it up ,but l do know it's the Ledger tavern after the famous horse race and yes I'm from Donny what a town, (City ).”

“Great little village pub which has a good friendly vibe to it. The pub has a fantastic outdoor area and is dog friendly. They do serve bar food and have a food van outside as well, unfortunately it was closed when we visited as we dropped on a pretty rainy day so I cannot comment on the food offering.”

“I've never been here. I don't even live anywhere near Doncaster. I do not know where it is exactly. However, THAT video still intrigues me like no other pub ever has. Get those Elvis songs on! 🎶🎶”

“Favourite pub in all the world, Ellie is always polite and service is great from her! She goes above and beyond always, perfect for a Friday night pint after work!”
