About Doncaster Brewery & Tap
Doncaster Brewery & Tap is a child-free bar in Doncaster that brews its own beer on site, with no jukebox, sports screens or games machines. It sits at 7 Young St, and entry is through the back door, past the brewing gear. Six real ales on hand pump, most of them brewed on the premises and suitable for vegans, sit alongside two guest beers. Six real ciders on hand pull are joined by one on keg. Eight keg beers include Rothaus Pils, and the world beer range comes in bottles and cans. Gin and tonics and wines by the glass or bottle complete the drinks list. Dogs are welcome, and an upstairs room gives extra space for overspill. Pork pies, nuts and crisps are sold at the bar.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the house-brewed ales, with the in-house Porter called outstanding and one first-time drinker of the brewery's beer calling another of its ales wonderful. Close behind is the range: six real ales, six real ciders, a huge selection of keg beers, and bottles and cans, which another reviewer described as an interesting, varied run of cask ales. Friendly bar staff and regulars who chat come up repeatedly, and one visitor describes banter and a warm welcome despite being a stranger. Pork pies, nuts and crisps are sold at the bar, and one group got a buffet. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who was slightly disappointed to find only two of the brewery's own beers on sale, with more guest ciders than house ales. Others mention entering through the back past the brewing gear, dogs being welcome, and a live acoustic duo playing. One visitor who wandered in on a dreich Sunday afternoon was given free cheese.

“25th May 2021 They've been open for a week now indoors. You have to enter via the back door so the tables can stay socially distanced indoors. Check in via the NHSApp of leave Alison your details. They have 2 large TV's on the wall so you can see what's on tap, it's linked to Untappd so you can see from the comfort of your own home what they have on tap. 13th April 2021 Doncaster brewery was open yesterday. I had a swift pint :-) They are open until 8pm until it gets warmer. Cash or card both accepted. Previous review... Small but homey place. 5 or 6 of their own beers on hand-pump and another 7 or so guest hand-pumps. Decent bottle selection. Definitely worth a visit if in Donny.”
