  “Extremely disappointing experience – terrible service We visited Wagamama for a family dinner, looking forward to a lovely evening together. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined before we even had the chance to sit down. While we were queuing to be seated, the waitress was speaking to the couple in front of us. When it was our turn, she completely ignored us and moved straight on to the couple behind us. I actually had to ask her why she had skipped us. The whole interaction was incredibly rude, uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. We used to visit Wagamama from time to time and have had some really good experiences at other branches, where the food was absolutely delicious. Sadly, I cannot say the same about this particular restaurant. The food was not particularly impressive either, which made the poor service even more disappointing. What was supposed to be a lovely family evening turned into a very unpleasant experience. I was so upset by the way we were treated that I couldn’t even bring myself to write a review at the time. Unfortunately, after this experience, we won’t be returning to this branch, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it based on our visit. Both the service and the food fell short of expectations. This restaurant seriously needs to improve, particularly when it comes to customer service. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect and we certainly did not feel that was the case here.”

  “Had an amazing evening here on Friday night. First time in a Wagamama and were wowed by the exceptional quality of the food. We had Hot Honey Chicken and Bang Bang Cauliflower to start and Chicken Katsu for main which were all outstanding. The service was so attentive and friendly, the waiters just can't do enough for you, even offering extra sauce free of charge. We only went because the Toby Carvery was all booked up but we will definitely be going back, really enjoyed it.”

  “This restaurant chain really suffers from inconsistent experience's, this time I watched our starter sat on the pass for around 5 minutes, neither chef spoke up and told the servers, everyone just seemed to ignore it, when they eventually brought it to table I said it had been sat there for too long, it was cold & although replaced without a problem, I'm beginning to fall out of love with this chain. The restaurant was empty, maybe everyone had switched off.”

  “I had a fantastic experience at Wagamama Crawley, thanks to Mila and Lilla. From the moment we arrived, they were both incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Their service was professional, efficient, and always delivered with a smile, which made our visit even more enjoyable. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, checking in at the right times and making us feel genuinely valued as customers. It’s rare to come across such outstanding service, and Mila and Lilla are a real credit to the team. Thank you both for making our meal such a pleasant experience. We’ll definitely be back!”

  “I took my husband for his birthday dinner with my 17month old. We are vegan and there where lots of options. The service was really good, our server was Kade. He went above and beyond and got a birthday suprise for my husband.”

  “We ordered our food which was nice as per usual and arrived swiftly. After we finished, we proceeded to watch the servers walk past us 24 times after we had decided to start counting, no one offered to clear our plates or ask whether we wanted dessert. 25 minutes later and we decided we’d get dessert elsewhere. I appreciate the restaurant was busy, but one member of staff who was clearly friends with the people on the table next to us stood there talking to them and noticed us trying to get her attention on several occasions yet continued talking. Really disappointing.”

  “I visited for the first time to any wagamama in this branch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and explained everything well to be as a newbie. I chose a duck donburi which was delicious and filling. Fresh and tasty, and the duck itself was a generous portion. I like you can pick and choose to your taste. The chicken gyoza were lovely. Only critique is the booth space is small, but that's a corporate choice to maximise seating and not a reflection on the location. I will return as I was very impressed with my first visit. A shout out to the staff at this location for the service”

  “We had gone for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Wanted to have some good ramen- we had chefs special beef brisket and pork ramen -both were delicious and decent quantity. We enjoyed the pork bao bun as well- crispy and tasty. Only drawback was service- we had to ask 3 or 4 times to serve tap water, but they forgot to give and was only brought when we were about to leave. And also while paying the bill, the table number given to us was wrong initially - food is good, but can improve on the service . Parking is available -its inside leisure centre.”

  “We went on a Saturday afternoon at about 5:30, two adults and two children. We were greeted pleasantly at the door and seated in an available booth towards the rear of the restaurant. Our server asked if we had any allergies, which I do, a peanut allergy. On receiving this info, she said our order had to be taken by the manager. He arrived a minute or so later, a very pleasant and personable guy. No request was too much. He gave up lots of information, including telling us that all Wagamamas restaurants are Nut free, which reassured me. All of my order was put through first as it has to be prepared by the head chef. And the rest of the order was taken quickly afterwards. They even catered to my very fussy autistic daughter, removing certain ingredients from her curry dish. My main arrived minutes after the order was taken and our starters followed shortly after. The food was so fresh, in particular the squid balls for started were so delicately flavoured and delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and this made my two children's first visit to Wagamama a memorable one. They have both since asked to go back! P.s. Breakfast in Tokyo cocktail is a winner!!”
