Customer Review Summary
Warm, friendly service draws the most praise, with reviewers describing a lovely welcome and food that arrived quick and hot. Diners name the rabbit pie of the day with mash, the fish pie, sticky toffee pudding with custard, a duck and orange salad, and mac and cheese followed by a beeramisu. One family enjoyed a breakfast of eggs Benedict, the full manor breakfast and kids pancakes, and a toddler finished his plate. Reviewers like the cozy inside, the fireplace, the sun trap outside and the garden, though one visitor found the door wide open in cold weather with no fires lit. The sharpest complaints target the food. Two reviewers call it expensive for small portions and old quality, across small plates, Sunday roasts and sausage and mash. One describes a well done roast beef with cold potatoes and a dry smash burger, and says tables that ordered later were served first, with the server saying thank you for waiting rather than apologising.

“Popped down to Goffs this morning to try out the new breakfast menu with the family. Lovely warm welcome from all the staff! Spoilt for choice with the vast breakfast options but we went with the eggs Benedict, full manor breakfast and the kids pancakes with extra has browns. Food was quick, hot and lovely. The staff have done a great job at creating such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. 100/10, will be coming back throughout the School holidays for sure!”

“Atmosphere was good, drinks were good, food was terrible, and considering the prices, I thought it might be fresh or taste nice at least, but was old quality and very small portion sizes, had 8 small plates, 2 Sunday roasts and sausage and mash meals, nice garden but I would never eat food there.”

“What an absolutely wonderful pub experience! Our service was outstanding! The ladies who served us were exceptional. We had a mixed starter with halloumi, a cheese onion pasty and the chorizo. All fantastic! The pie of the day was rabbit and was wonderful with mash and carrots and parsnips. The fish pie was a perfect British classic. The bread pudding was good, not a typical presentation and the sticky toffee pudding with custard was perfect. The pub is cozy with beautiful gardens. We will be back!”
