About Mister Shenanigans Coventry
Mister Shenanigans Coventry is an Irish pub at 18 Spon St in Coventry, with 16 screens showing football, rugby, boxing and darts. Sport is on in the daytime as well, so the screens are part of how the pub runs rather than an occasional extra. Guinness is served at the bar, and live music plays in the evenings, giving the pub a second draw beyond the sport. The owners describe a night of traditional tunes, and the format is a stool at the bar and a pint in hand. A 2 for 1 drinks offer rounds out the bar side of the business.

Customer Review Summary
Live music is the draw reviewers raise most, with weekend sets running from Irish classics to crowd-pleasers and described as talented and always a vibe. Close behind is the bar staff, called friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the drinks, with top tier Guinness singled out and drink prices called fair. Reviewers also describe a homely, lively Irish pub for catching up with friends, with 16 screens showing football, rugby, boxing and darts at once, and one mentions 2 for 1 drinks on Fridays. Criticism is less frequent but specific. One reviewer found the Friday night outside area heaving, with several drunk patrons tripping over the stone post holding the marquee, and called the bar staff miserable and impolite. Another says handling two or three football games at once gets muddled when others step in, though the barman himself is praised. A third notes cigarette smoke drifting across the beer garden, while still calling its atmosphere good.

“There’s a DISGUSTING man working there that wouldn’t let women into the toilets, he grabbed myself and my friend when we tried to go to the toilet and was very overly aggressive touching us and starting up a fight on purpose against two girls? Thankfully the gentleman at the men’s door let us in to have a moment and digest what had happened! Vile piece of work white man quite short and loves a fight with young girls if you want to go to the toilet. Absolutely shocking and vile behaviour especially not allowing people into the toilet in the first place ?”

“The bar man cat (he has a beard). Is a top level barman.. Trying to accommodate 2/3 football games.. And then. Others I presume managers mess it all. Up.. I have no understanding of who is running what but this guy is a good barman”

“Went on a friday night..... the outside area is absolutely heaving, being surrounded by hammered blokes is hust what you want... (not) At least 3-4 blokes fell over the stone post that holds the marquee. Big burly blokes drunk landing on you is just what anyone wants... its definitely a safety issue! Bar staff were miserable, zero politeness Used tampons all over rhe floor in the ladies and not a toilet roll in sight.. despite asking for it... Its a basic hygiene reuirement. Really having read the reviews had high expectations. Truly pants”

“Too drunk to remember how good it was. I could've snogged Kate Moss but more than likely it was Susan Boyle. Beer Garden has a good atmosphere if you can see through the plumes of cigarette smoke. All in all a good night to be had by all.”
