  “1st time visiting. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Food was fantastic. Excellent quality, very well presented and good sized portions. Ambience is relaxed and calm, with several different areas for dining. Will definitely be back!”

  “Came in for food on Sunday and had the most amazing experience despite it being exceptionally busy. Our waitress Evie was extreme friendly and kind and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was quick and very tasty with generous portions. We will definitely be back would recommend if in the area!!”

  “We have not been here for a couple of years following a negative experience. This time seemed more positive until it came to our desserts. After a 30 minute wait they still did not arrive and had to be chased. Even then it took an additional 10 minutes. Then upon arrival we had to request spoons. I think they forgot about us.”

  “Anyone with a dog and fancy a beer this pub is outstanding. Some pubs say "dog friendly" but actually just tolerate dogs, this one however LOVES dogs. We are on holiday in the vicinity and decided to pop in for lunch. All of us, including our German Shepherd were made to feel really welcome, even the staff were bringing dog treats for our dog. The food was really good, very tasty. Overall a full 5 star review”

  “We throughly enjoyed our visit. We were a mixed party aging from 16 months to 86 years old. Nothing was too much trouble, all of the staff were great and the chef and team produced lovely food for us. Our party had, roast, fish, burger and children’s sausage and chips followed by Pecan pie, Baked Alaska and Eton mess. There is a lovely play area for children and good inside and outside seating. The carpark is large and great for a family meal out.”

  “Took a wrong turn and found this beautiful pub, from the road side it didn't look like much however after pulling into the large car park we were blown away at how spacious and lovely this pub turned out to be. High standard inside, comfortable seating, children's play area, outdoor rear decking overlooking some beautiful fields and wetland, pizza deck with pizza oven. Greeted by the gentleman here, super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, I had the steak which was amazing and the duck salad as a starter. I've had better duck salads size and presentation wise but this was still a nice dish albeit slightly small, an option for a more meaty main would be lovely. Lots of food options, pizza served all day with kitchen closing for mains at 3pm. Amazing pub and was really happy we found it, and then blown away once we walked in and managed to grab a table on the outer decking which was lovely. Fantastic place and would highly recommend. Parking was very ample with a large carpark available.”

  “We are on a trip to the area and found this pub that was only a short walk away. We were pleased with the service and everyone was lovely. The first night we visited we enjoyed the outdoor seating and the second, we were sat inside by the fire. All the staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was absolutely incredible, all the meals were of extremely high quality and worth every penny. We would happily come here again, and our dog agrees !”

  “Spent our anniversary here, lovely decor and location, food was delicious piping hot and perfect sized portions, couldn’t fault. Service was good despite having to cope with a large party also happening on table beside us. We would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.”

  “Fresh, tasty food and a lovely countryside view. Mostly self-service but still a 10% service charge, which was a surprise as I had to order from the bar and take the cutlery to the table. Still, great atmosphere and I’d happily return.”

  “Had a nice meal here. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The food was presented well and tasty. Personally I prefer the background music to be quieter as everywhere we sat, there was a speaker close to us. The pub is well decorated with a modern countryside style. There is an optional 10% tip added to the bill. The carpark is big and free of charge. Nice large outdoor covered drinking area which is great for summertime drinking. I would like to see dietary requirements codes on the menu for easier reading. Otherwise I would recommend this restaurant to visitors of the New Forest.”
