About Fiveways
Fiveways is a pub in Bournemouth at 423 Charminster Rd, where dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along. Drinks can be ordered through an app, and orders placed that way carry a discount. The kitchen serves pub meals, including a leek and potato soup and a steak and ale pie. Sports are shown on the TVs, which gives football and other fixtures a place to be watched with a drink in hand. A live band plays on New Year's Eve.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the thread running through most reviews, with the landlady and bar staff called some of the friendliest people behind a bar and servers described as welcoming and kind. One reviewer who ordered through the app had cold, frothing pints arrive with beer mats while empties were cleared. Food earns praise too, with the leek and potato soup called delicious, the steak ale pie full of flavour, and one diner surprised by how quickly a pub meal arrived. Others mention a good atmosphere, great TV and sport, an afternoon with workmates, a date night and a busy New Year's Eve with a brilliant band. The main complaint concerns the kitchen. A local says that on the last three visits a lot of the food menu was unavailable and that this needs sorting. Another reviewer felt the New Year's Eve crowd needed one more bar staff member after waiting too long to be served. One grandparent recalls staff helping an autistic grandson choose something from the menu that he could eat.

“I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t eat but I would like to compliment the bar staff on their excellent service. Having ordered on the app my drinks were served by a guy called Patrick, very friendly and hospitable. He brought out beer mats, cleared away empty glasses and brought replacements of cold, frothing pints of beer almost as if he knew the online app order was coming. We benefitted from a 10% discount and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon, in no small part due to Patrick’s superb service and friendly manner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the pub.”

“just spent a lunchtime ( 2 pints in 20 mins legend or alkie?). The landlady and barstaff are probably the friendliest people I've met behind a bar. The beer is good and the building itself is top notch. I may return after work”

“Great case became in for some food the staff for absolute Great my grandson‘s autistic and they say good with him and helped him choose something off the menu that he will be able to eat. We will definitely come here again. It was a great atmosphere. I’m really enjoyable and my grandson really enjoyed himself which is not very often when we go for food.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience! 🌟 We had such a lovely meal and the food was delicious, but what really made our visit special was the amazing service from Hayley and Laura. They were both so friendly, welcoming and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. They genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. ❤️ We left feeling really happy and would definitely come back again. Thank you Hayley and Laura for making our meal so enjoyable — you were both amazing! 🥰🍽️ Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
