  “Great beer selection, the Butcombe bitter was top notch. The menu has the standards but some imaginative extras. Mine was absolutely superb! All the food was really excellent. Will definitely be back ASAP”

  “Went in on a beautiful sunny day around tea time. Had to wait 10 mins before being allowed to order, as the kitchen was busy. Once the food arrived (took 40 mins since arrival) it was very good. Dog friendly. Lots of outdoor seating with or without cover.”

  “We originally went to Birkacre but left disappointed and found the Dog and Partridge as the closest place to where we were to dine. It was superb. The meal, the service, the atmosphere, everything was perfect and so happy to have found this gem. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.”

  “Nice pleasant urban country pub in charnock richard. Nice atmosphere, nice staff. Great food, had the sirloin. If I was being really picky id say my steak was more medium than medium rare. Like the blood to come out but very little did. But it was easy to cut and eat so really can't complain.”

  “Another great visit to the dog and partridge. Great mushroom starter, which I followed with a pork dinner while my partner had the beef. Couldn't find room for a pud so perhaps next time we'll skip the starter to try one. Last time I think we shared a cheesecake.”

  “Really good pub meal. I'm not one for the green stuff when dining out, but even I can be tempted by their salads. I may even order one next time as I have it on good authority they are really tasty. They certainly look appetising enough. On this occasion, I opted for the BBQ spare ribs and cheesy fries with added spring onions. The onions made a tasty little tweak to the cheesy chips I have had elsewhere. I was impressed. Really tasty. We visited mid week lunchtime and the pub was really busy. The car park was full so we had to park on the street but this wasn't a problem. Look forward to eating here again”

  “I’ve just come back from Charnock Richard and visited the Dog and Partridge, what a super pub this is, really nice inside with nice seating areas, a great range of beer and ales, staff were fantastic, lovely outside beer garden as well for the sunnier days. Meals were a price range £10-£15 everyone in group commented on how nice their meals were so hats off the chef, the staff were hospitable, genial and accommodating Highly recommend it even if just passing.”
