About Crooke Hall Inn
Crooke Hall Inn sits beside a canal on Crooke Road in Wigan, a pub and English restaurant that opens onto a beer garden along the water. The kitchen runs a classics-led menu, with the pie barm as the local staple and fish, chips, and peas among the regulars, served alongside a bar selection. Inside, a spacious seating area gives the room room to spread out, and dogs are welcome throughout. The pub hosts charity events alongside its weekly trade, including fundraisers for causes such as men's mental health. The team behind the bar is known locally for a friendly and helpful manner. With its waterside garden, dog-friendly policy, and a menu built around Wigan favourites, the inn draws both regulars and walkers passing along the towpath.

“Very nice looking pub. But the food was very disappointing, we had fish, chips and peas... The fish was soft batter not crispy at all the chips were like the end of a bag of frozen chips small crispy bits. I was visiting friends and they had been to the pub and enjoyed it so they were so shocked. You're chief must have had a bad day, no chief should send soft battered fish to a costumer. I think you should have a word with your chief.”
