About Whittle Taps
Whittle Taps is a pub at 1 Regent St in Cheltenham, with craft beers on the drinks list alongside Strawberry Cider. The food side runs to gourmet pub dishes such as the halloumi mushroom burger and a fish finger sub with fries. A bottomless brunch gives groups a reason to book a table together, and prosecco brunches have been taken by large parties. Entertainment includes a pub quiz and a DJ playing live music, and sports are shown on screens for match viewing. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, accommodating and helpful, from a manager who served lunch to a team that handled a hen party brunch of prosecco and food. Drinks come close behind, with a good beer selection, cold pints, a rare strawberry cider and a DJ on Saturday nights, though one reviewer found the cocktails very syrupy. Among food, a halloumi mushroom burger and a fish finger sub with fries get praise, and one reviewer calls the food fresh not frozen. Food draws the sharpest complaints. One reviewer received soggy bacon, brie and cranberry paninis that came back burnt after being sent back, plus "nachos" that were fried flatbread with little cheese, and was refunded only for the paninis. Another found the food very average, cold and pale, arriving ten minutes after ordering. The paninis visit also described a rude waitress. A bottomless brunch left one reviewer pleased with how attentive the staff were with drinks, and several say they will be back.

“Visited Cheltenham today and stopped here for lunch. In hindsight, the fact the pub was almost empty should probably have been a warning sign, especially as the restaurants opposite were much busier. Unfortunately, our experience explained why. We ordered two bacon, brie and cranberry paninis along with a side of “nachos.” The paninis arrived as soggy baguette-style sandwiches with barely any cheese and undercooked bacon. We sent them back asking if they could be toasted properly and the bacon cooked through. When they returned, they were completely overdone and burnt. The “nachos” were even worse — not nachos at all, but pieces of deep-fried flatbread with a very light sprinkle of cheese. Completely inedible. To make matters worse, the waitress was rude and unapologetic throughout. When we complained, we were only refunded for the paninis, and the change was slammed down on the table without so much as an apology. If a place can’t get something as simple as a toasted sandwich right, it doesn’t inspire confidence in the rest of the menu. A very disappointing experience, and one we certainly won’t repeat. Even if every other pub in Cheltenham was full, we wouldn’t return.”

“Go regularly with Friends or even by myself, sports are regularly on which is entertaining, the staff like Rose, Lloyd, Angie and the rest of them are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is delicious I recommend the Halloumi Mushroom burger, don’t normally go for the vegetarian option but it’s just that good. Drinks are good and they have quite a good selection. If you wanna place to go after or hangout then Whittle taps is a good place to go, asp Saturday nights are fun with the DJ they have on, he’s also really friendly too and runs a pub quiz on Mondays I believe. 10 out 10!”
