  “The Sunday roast is genuinely delicious, and they even have a kids’ menu that’s perfect for the little ones. Their drink selection is big, with some international beers to choose from. The service is fantastic — everyone there is incredibly kind and welcoming. They also have animals and a fun playground area that kids absolutely love. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy with family. It does get busy, so booking ahead is definitely a good idea.”

  “Lovely pub on the outskirts of Cheltenham. We visited in the height of summer and spent a very pleasant evening. There was a whole mix of people, fun business people to singles to families. There are several cars parks and several sections of outdoor space. Even though the parking was rammed, when we visited, there was plenty of room in the beer gardens and covered area.”

  “GREAT FAMILY PUB! They really have made a huge effort in making this place the best it can be for families. A great play park, little footy pitch and goals, a petting zoo, a dedicated area for dogs to sit with you and eat directly opposite the fenced in play area. Food was a good quality, lovely friendly staff, & served quickly. My only quibble would be dirty toilets. However, it was hot and busy so it maybe was just they hadn’t had time to do them again.”

  “Always made to feel welcome. Staff are always friendly and polite. Sat outside for the first time tonight and easy to order food outside and lovely area. Had the halloumi and red pepper burger which was on the specials board and it was so good. Car park can get very busy but never not been able to park. Also do a lovely roast dinner on a Sunday. Will be back soon no doubt. Thanks.”

  “This is a truly excellent pub to dine at. The menu is well crafted with a great choice, including several interesting items that make this menu stand out from the generic standard menus most pubs offer....for example, we had the seared duck breast with creamy rosemary potatoes, red cabbage and kale and also the sweet potato pie, with brocoli, root veg and new potatoes... both delicious. Also a fantastic desserts menu which included some traditional and some fruity items, deviating from the generic sugary, fudge, caramel or chocolate offerings that dominate most pub menus. Very friendly staff, and pleasantly decorated pub. The tables and actual laminated menu sheets were basic and unpretentious, maybe an area some savings have been made, to allow the pub to offer such great quality food at a very reasonable price! ... the beer (Butty Bach) was excellent too!!”

  “What a gem, came here 10 years ago for food. Just come again in the motorhome to stay for the night on the way to Cornwall and it didn't disappoint. Food fantastic again landlord and lady couldn't be more helpful. Definitely staying again.”

  “Absolutely loved our visit here on a recent Friday night. Staff were lovely and welcoming - attentive but not overbearing. The pub itself is cosy but still spacious, with traditional decor that makes for a really wonderful atmosphere. The food was amazing, homecooked and fresh with generous portions. We were spoilt for choice by the decent sized menu but the homemade lasagne was 10 out of 10! Great range of drink too, the local gins were a great touch. This is a gem of a pub, we will be back!”

  “Absolutely excellent place to eat. A birthday celebration made special by excellent food, a lovely atmosphere and superb service, all provided at a sensible price. It's been many years since our last visit. We will be back very soon. Strongly recommend, though you may have to book in advance given how popular it was on Tuesday lunchtime!!! Went back on a Friday lunchtime. Food again was excellent, couldn't fault it. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Not surprised this place is so busy. Looking forward to our next visit already 😊”

  “We visited with our 3 year old yesterday around 1pm. She was desperate to see the animals so we had lunch outside in the sun, next to the animal area! Then we took our drinks round into the play area. Food was great and very well priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. We have also eaten in the restaurant a few times for lunch and dinner and had a lovely time.”

  “Went here last Wednesday for a meal for two, place was very busy due to Christmas parties etc but we didn't have to wait too long for our table. I ordered the Twice Roasted Belly Pork, Normal Mash, Tender-stem Broccoli, Apple & Sage Jam & a Cider & Dijon Cream. I had this dish earlier in the year here and it was absolutely fantastic again. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly too. Looking forward to my next visit in the new year... :-)”
