Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is the draw reviewers raise most, with the beef, gravy and cauli cheese singled out as flavoursome and perfectly cooked, and one diner noting roasts were still being served on a Sunday evening. Close behind are the live bands, including during jazz fest, which kept several groups there well beyond a quick beer, along with a good selection of beers and friendly staff. Reviewers also mention large portions, a club sandwich that made a plenty-sized small lunch, football on TV, and outdoor seating with awnings. The criticism is mostly about service and upkeep. One diner at a table of four says the roasts arrived at different times, so a friend finished before the others started, with no apology and a roast not rated as good value. Another reviewer reports a burger and bun that arrived burnt after a long wait, though staff refunded the money when the plate went back to the bar. One reviewer found no toilet roll in one toilet.

“"I went in for lunch one afternoon and ordered a burger, but the experience was a complete disappointment. Not only was there a very long wait for the food to arrive, but when it finally did, both the burger patty and the bun were visibly burnt to a crisp.I tried to give it a chance, but after a few bites, it was completely inedible. I had to take the plate up to the bar to send it back. To their credit, the staff refunded my money without an issue, but a kitchen should never allow food that badly burnt to leave the line in the first place. Between the long wait and the ruined food, I will never eat here again.”

“We stopped in for a quick beer or two, but ended up having food, which was excellent. The band started and kept us there all evening. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We'll be back!”
