Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the salt pepper chili fries and Argentinian steak fries as standout dishes, with several also praising the burgers and cocktails. The varied street food menu, from Korean to Mexican, earns repeated mention, and many describe the service as friendly. Some reviewers report serious issues, including one account of illness after eating a burger and another of beef gravy served in a vegetarian dish, with communication problems noted in both cases. A vegetarian diner also found chicken in their halloumi gyros. Several highlight the artwork and outdoor area as part of the experience.

“Fantastic venue! Stopped here on a whim whilst travelling and was surprised by the quality of the food. Fantastic flavours, everything just POPPED as I ate it. The service was excellent as well with the servers accommodating us very well and making sure we got our food in time for us to set off. Would recommend visiting if you ever happen to be wanting a place to relax, eat, or drink - super hidden gem!”

“Came upon this by accident and I'm too auld for Print Yard by miles. Youthful & beautiful people imbibe drinks I don't recognise in a large outdoor area decorated with 'funky' graffiti. …”

“We visited The Print Yard last night for a meal and initially had a really lovely experience. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere and service were great. Unfortunately, a few hours later, both of us became quite unwell with vomiting …”

“Been here and ordered takeaway from here a number of times and will always go for the salt pepper chili fries and they're probably the best chips I've ever had. Whenever I've been here in person the service has been lovely and so has the drinks. Would argue this is Carlisle's hidden gem and that anyone coming into the city should give it a shot!”

“This is an absolute hidden gem! The food gets better every time we go. The menu has an amazing range of street food from Indian to American to Italian and so on. Services is always spot on and friendly. Cocktails are absolutely gorgeous! Never had a bad mouthful in here even items I normally dislike are an absolute treat in here. Best restaurant in Cumbria say me and the Mrs. Also the artwork all around is awesome 😎”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
