Customer Review Summary
The new tapas menu is the most frequent draw, with several diners describing a huge selection of tasty, delicious dishes and saying they plan to return to work through the rest. Close behind is the Sunday lunch, described as excellent, with generous portions and food that arrives fresh and hot. Reviewers also single out a steak cooked to perfection, a mixed grill, and homemade pasta with a sauce full of flavour. Many call the portions huge and good value, and one first-time visitor was too full for dessert. The log fire gives the pub a cosy feel, and reviewers also mention the beer garden, live music, a summer cocktail bar and a great playlist. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming. One family's kids meal came with an ice cream, and one group running late after a cancelled Uber was collected and driven home afterwards by the bar manager.
