Quick info
About Nando's Talbot Green
Nando's Talbot Green is a restaurant in Pontyclun, at Unit 8, built around flame-grilled peri-peri chicken made with African bird's-eye chilli. The chicken comes in different heat flavours, so each diner can choose how much spice goes on the plate, and different sauces are available to use on it. For a bigger order, the menu includes a boneless feast. Sides such as dusted chips and rainbow slaw round out the table. Staff ask about allergies when you order, which gives guests with dietary needs a chance to flag them before the food is prepared. The restaurant opens daily, and vouchers are accepted as payment.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly, helpful staff are what the happiest reviewers raise most, from a first-timer who plans to eat there regularly to a parent whose child's lactose allergy the staff helped with, in a restaurant described as autism friendly with low music, dimmed lighting and colouring offered. Diners name the boneless feast with dusted chips, rainbow slaw, garlic bread and corn on the cob as plentiful and tasty, and one calls the sweet corn outstanding, while another enjoyed trying the different sauces. Close behind is a recurring complaint about cleanliness: reviewers describe sticky tables left covered in food, dirty cloths used to wipe them down and a dirty booth. A few find portions small, citing a wrap and pitta with overcooked frozen chips and a burger that could have had more in it. One reviewer reports staff preparing food without hair nets, another says no one asked about allergies, and one who was passed over in the queue wondered whether race played a part, though a waitress later apologised. When a second dish arrived well after the first, the staff apologised and offered free sides.

“Very disappointing experience. I was the first person waiting to be seated. A middle-aged male staff member made eye contact with me twice, so I know he saw me. However, instead of speaking to me, he walked straight past and asked the two white women standing behind me. They were then seated before me, even though they arrived later. A younger waitress later apologised and said the queue had been mixed up, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the male staff member's actions had already left a very negative impression. I can't know what his intentions were, but being ignored while two white customers behind me were prioritised made me question whether I was treated differently because of my race. No customer should be made to leave with that feeling.”

“From the moment we entered, the restaurant was clean, people seemed happy and the atmosphere was really good. Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, helping my daughter with her lactose allergy. An autism friendly restaurant with low music volume, dimmed lighting and colouring offered despite my children being older. The food was amazing. We tend to order the same items but the quality was excellent and not a bite was left. Thankyou so much guys. Keep being fabulous.”

“My wife and I called in lunchtime on 14/5/2026. We ordered the boneless feast with sides of dusted chips, rainbow slaw, garlic bread and corn on the cob. The food was plentiful and very tasty but what made our visit special was the brilliant service from the staff there. The young man (gingery hair)who took my order was so friendly and helpful as was the male (who I assumed to be the manager) who showed us to our seat.”

“Really disappointed with my experience. The cleanliness of the place was poor tables were left covered in food, even though staff were not busy serving and were instead stood talking at the front. I also wasn’t asked about any allergies, which is quite concerning. Management didn’t seem much better. I’ve already heard negative things about managers speaking badly about staff, and this visit didn’t change that impression as they were barely in the restaurant only for a few minutes leaving the poor staff run around. It’s a real shame because I usually love Nando’s, but this experience has really put me off and I won’t be returning.”
