  “Stopped for some good old classic bangers and mash with the restaurants twist, the sausage selections are great and the champ is surely the better mash option, thick rich tasty gravy with lovely onions. We drank the champagne with it was a bit extravagant but it was a light touch to the earthy sausage flavour. Our pick was pork, leek & Stilton and beef & ale.”

  “Sabina was an absolute delight! Six of us rocked up, after booking, and we were thoroughly looked after by this beautiful lady. The service was incredible and the food was just stunning. It looked perfect and tasted like Michelin star food. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and putting up with our madness. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

  “My first time here today, I had the pork and stilton sausages with mash and gravy and it was absolutely delicious, also the side of red cabbage was spot on. Very good ciders and friendly service, overall a wonderful experience, highly recommended.”

  “Lovely tasty food. Really good sausages. Good atmosphere We were there for a friend's birthday. She mentioned it to the staff and when they brought out her dessert they put a candle on it for her and changed the music to Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder. Would recommend”

  “Very nice food. Pork belly was lush and my sons had the burger which was also very good. Food all decent combination of rustic and quality. Biggest let down was the sausages. Maybe the other flavours would have been better but the standard oldspot sausages were quite disappointing. I would go back. Value was fine.”

  “This is a really wonderful time, but the Roasties and Yorkshire pudding could do with a little work We had starters mains and a pudding. Pudding was really wonderful, sweet and tart from the rhubarb crumble, Was really well presented with the crumble on top of the custard The roast was really yummy, but unfortunately, the Yorkshire pudding and the roast potatoes didn’t live up to much. The cheese Soufflé … out of this world Wonderful staff, incredible atmosphere”

  “Booked here for Sunday lunch menu and I would definitely recommend. I had 2 starters as I was so hungry, the soup was delicious, it had that wonderful homemade feel and texture to it. The cheese soufflé was good, fun texture, but the flavour was a little bland, not as cheesy as I had anticipated. The roast itself was wonderful, my friend and I got the combo roast and our server Nicky was lovely enough to give us extra beef as we did not like turkey. The gravy was thick, flavourful. Personally I prefer my beef pink, but I was not disappointed! It was so tender, and so was the pork. The pork was amazing, so meaty, very little fat, and super tender, it passed the fork test. The sausage was a little lacklustre, quite salty, and a bit of a flat texture. Overall, it was delicious. My only disappointment was the service. Our server Nicky was lovely, but it was quite slow and at times, did not feel very attentive. We had to try to catch someone to get us another drink. However, I understand it’s Sunday and the restaurant was getting somewhat busy - good sign! If you want a chilled afternoon, not in a rush and good food. I would 100% recommend.”
