About Small Bar
Small Bar is a Bristol bar at 31 King St, set at the end of the street near Bristol Harbour. Its 31 taps put South West breweries first, and the rotating craft beer selection also takes in breweries from further afield. Food comes from Wings's Diner, an in-house pop-up that runs alongside the bar. The menu centres on chicken wings, including Korean sauce wings, and dirty fries, which come in a version topped with fried chicken and gravy. For a meat-free order, a vegan burger is on the menu.

Customer Review Summary
Fried chicken is what most diners talk about, from crispy signature wings with Korean sauce to a chicken burger called incredible and dirty fries topped with fried chicken and gravy. One reviewer names the dirty chips as a favourite, another describes a vegan burger with Korean sauce and big portions, and one notes lots of options for vegetarians. Close behind is the beer, with a rotating tap list described as interesting, including the occasional weird one, plus a Deya, a memorable Chocolate Stout and a Somerset cider. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, one adds knowledgeable, and the outdoor seating gets praise. The food is not universally liked. One reviewer found the fried chicken mostly coating, smothered in szechuan pepper, with overcooked fries, and also called the seating uncomfortable. Another thought the veggie dirty fries fell short on quality and value. One Friday night takeaway of burgers, dirty chips and wings was called excellent across the board.

“Uncomfortable seating, smelly toilets. The food is from an in-house 'pop-up' - Wings's Diner. It's great if you like fried chicken, that's mostly coating, smothered in szechuan pepper, with a side of overcooked 'fries' smothered in szechuan pepper and served with a szechuan mayonnaise. If, you don't then tough.”

“Cool little bar, had some really nice somerset cider there. The food was awesome, big portions. Can't quite remember what I had, it was vegan burger of some kind and it had Korean sauce and chips... here is a picture of it anyway. Friendly staff.”

“A really lovely bar, with great local beers to try! The star of the show for me though was the food, the chicken burger I had was incredible and there was loads more on the menu I would try in future!”

“We picked up takeaway from Small bar on a Friday night! We got burgers, dirty chips and wings! Everything was excellent and tasted amazing. The dirty chips were definitely my favourite. Worth a visit for drinks, but definitely try some food as well.”
