About King Street Brew House
King Street Brew House is a pub in Bristol with its own micro-brewery on site, on Welsh Back at the corner of King Street. The brewery makes cask and keg beers, including a Golden Hour real ale and the Beni Spanish lager, and guest beers from the local area, the UK and the USA run alongside them. The kitchen serves food from lunchtime until late, with burgers and chips on the menu next to the Brew House Brat. The ground floor has industrial decor and screens showing football. In the basement, the Tank Room gives groups a space for parties or live sports. The pub is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
The caveats are mixed. One reviewer found the beer decent but not memorable, felt it resembled a standard pub and called the drinks not cheap. Another reports being refused entry with a beer bought outside while other customers were allowed in with theirs, and describes the response as a double standard. The most vivid praise comes from a group who ordered three different burgers and all enjoyed them.

“Sun 30 aug, 18:15. Security guy didn’t allow me and my friends to get in with our beer. The one we bought outside. Perfect! That’s great. The ladies who bought the same type of beer than us… outside, were allowed to get in with their drinks. When I pointed it out, the guy, black colour skin, just ignored me. Taking my business to somewhere else… I hate this double standard.”

“Top pub in the heart of Bristol! Outside busy but great atmosphere in the day. Great selection of beer that they make themselves - beni spanish lager is very nice. Ed was very knowledgeable and let me try a taste of another IPA, and a sour beer. Couple of the lads ordered some smash burgers and bratwurst which were about £15 each but so worth it. We will be back if we return to Bristol!”

“So much fun! The food was so tasty! Great burgers, fries and appetizers. Our server, Avery, was welcoming and friendly. She gave us great suggestions and made us feel at home. And the atmosphere was quite the party for a Tuesday evening!”

“Superb On-Site Brews and Delicious Food We were staying overnight near Bristol Airport before an early flight and decided to head into Bristol for the evening. I’d heard good things about King Street Brew House, so I took my husband there for a few drinks, and I’m really glad we did. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel at home straight away and were happy to chat about the beers they brew on site and offer recommendations. One of the highlights of our visit was getting to try the house-brewed beers. It’s always nice to visit somewhere that takes pride in brewing its own range, and you can really tell the care and passion that goes into it. The selection catered for different tastes, and it was great to be able to enjoy fresh local beer in such a relaxed and characterful setting. We’d originally only planned to stay for drinks, but the atmosphere was so good that we decided to order some food as well. I went for the Brew House Brat, and it was absolutely delicious – packed with flavour, generously portioned, and perfect alongside one of their own beers. It was exactly the kind of comforting meal you want after a day of travelling. The pub itself has a fantastic atmosphere, with a great mix of traditional pub charm and its own unique brewery identity. You can really feel the character of the place, and it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular spot. The combination of excellent beer, tasty food, and genuinely warm, attentive service made for a brilliant evening. If you’re visiting Bristol or, like us, just staying over before a flight from Bristol Airport, I’d definitely recommend making the trip into the city and giving King Street Brew House a try. We came for a couple of drinks and ended up having a full evening out. We’ll certainly be back next time we’re in the area. 🍻”

“Came in for a drink or two with a couple of the girlies when exploring Bristol city centre. Great selection on tap, the helpful bartender Kiara (or cheeara?) helped us choose some cheeky pints. Did we enjoy the drinks? Lets just say we stayed for more than a couple 😏😉”

“The King Street Brew House is an urban style city centre pub with its very own micro-brewery creating an amazing range of both cask and keg beers. This eclectic range is complemented by an ever changing array of guest craft brews from the local area, UK and the USA. Reserve a table on the ground floor for getting together with friends or family, or for bigger gatherings, The Tank Room in the basement is a great space for parties or watching live sports. We serve a delicious array of modern classic pub food all day from lunchtime until late, all prepared using the freshest ingredients. We’re situated on the cobbled street corner of King Street and Welsh Back waterside, close to theatres and in the midst of a vibrant mix of restaurants”
