Quick info
About Admirals Landing
Admirals Landing is a pub on The Docks in Bridgwater, with a separate restaurant part for sit-down meals. On Sundays the kitchen serves a carvery alongside the Sunday roast, giving the week a dedicated roast day. The standard menu includes cottage pie and a mixed grill, with cheesecake for dessert. A specials board runs next to the standard menu, and vegan and vegetarian options are available for those who skip meat. Dogs are welcome, which suits anyone stopping in on a walk along the docks with a pet.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the carvery, with a Sunday carvery singled out as great and another diner calling it enjoyable, and the cheesecake close behind, described by one as divine and by another with delight. Beyond that, diners name tender steaks cooked perfectly with crispy chips, a mixed grill with fresh butcher quality meat, a homemade vegetable lasagne, a burger with nuggets and JD sauce, and a ploughman's lunch so huge one reviewer could not finish it. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and a first-time visitor says they were made to feel welcome. Others note the spacious seating and a specials board that caters for vegans and vegetarians. The caveats are specific. One diner found the cottage pie comparable to a microwave meal in taste and size, and says no staff asked about the food while three stood behind the bar serving drinks. Another, dining for an anniversary, found it too loud with football on, though the dessert was nice.

“Relatively enjoyable food, like the carvery and cottage pie, but too loud when we went for our anniversary meal. I believe football or something was happening at the pub that suggests why it was loud. Dessert was nice. I will come again.”

“Absolutely amazing experience here, staff were so friendly and even though it was our first time going there we were made to feel very welcome. Ordered a mixed grill each and the portion size and taste of food was incredible, fresh butcher quality meat and cooked very well. My girlfriend and I will absolutely be visiting again.”
