  “Oh my goodness can't believe I'd never been here before! I had such an amazing Sunday with my friends and doggo in the awesome atmosphere of the gardens. Staff were all top notch, super lovely and bubbly to chat with plus they all loved my little pup and had to have a cuddle with her. Also got to listen to some live music from Lou. Loved the koi fish, loved the decor, good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. A little treasure trove of the weird and wonderful. Definitely recommend checking out!! Thanks guys!!”

  “The food was outstanding, we had brisket which fell apart with soft sweet caramelised onions and the biggest chorizo sausage with just the right amount of spice. We will definitely go again when in Bournemouth. The young lady who served us was lovely too, very friendly and chatty.”

  “Chaplin's is an absolute gem and hands down one of the most unique places in Bournemouth. From the moment you walk in, the Charlie Chaplin-themed decor hits you – it's quirky, eccentric, and packed with so much to look at, you'll be spotting new things all night . The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and bohemian, attracting a friendly, alternative crowd that makes everyone feel welcome . The real stars of the show are the live music and the beer garden. They have live music every single night of the week, from open mic nights and jazz to brilliant original bands in the cellar bar . And the garden? It's won awards for a reason – a beautiful, quirky suntrap with fairy lights, it's the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon . The food is also fantastic, with a great "home-cooked" feel. I highly recommend the lamb two ways and the wild mushroom and venison pie – absolutely delicious . The staff are wonderfully friendly and efficient, and the selection of real ales, ciders, and cocktails is excellent . Whether you're after a relaxing drink, a fantastic meal, or a night of great live music, Chaplin's is a must-visit.”

  “Called in before a gig at the O2 and couldn’t have been more surprised/happy. Looks quite small from the outside but inside was superb. Quirky main bar, basement bar and a garden bar. Great food from the Smoke House in the garden and overall just a great atmosphere. Plus the staff are friendly and really happy/proud to work there. Definitely a hidden gem.”

  “Lovely pub/ Bar and Restaurant with Live Music Quirky decor I loved it Great selection of cocktails Beers and spirits Food was tasty but limited options Ordered the burger but didn’t realised that I needed to order the fries on the side You will think the waiter will try to upsell while taking your order I was brought up a burger on a plate that’s it for£15 not hot just warm but that’s my preference I like my food hot Open 7 days a week Staff were friendly, Polite”

  “Absolutely iconic place. Very eclectic and with a great atmosphere. The character of this place takes for it self. The staff are polite. A bit pricey but it's worth the visit, if you enjoy eclectic people and places. Definitely, a must go when in Bournemouth. One of the best in town.”

  “Brilliant place! Many, many moons ago, I went here for a night sesh with some work colleagues. What I remember of it was great songs, a ram packed bar, and my now wife doing the All Blacks Hacker. More recently, 14th Sept., we came here for some lunch. It has expanded and has become even more unique (which I didn't think was possible). It's hard to describe what it's like, but go and visit for some food and keep spending throughout the night. Chaplins & Cellar Bar should be a landmark for Boscombe & Bournemouth.”
