Quick info
About Brunswick
Brunswick is a Green King pub on Malmesbury Park Road in Bournemouth, with a lounge and a sports bar where rugby and football play on screens, with seating set aside for watching. The bar pours Thatchers cider on draft in several flavours, alongside a range of other ciders and beers. In the kitchen, mains run from gammon, egg and chips to chicken katsu. A function room called the atrium can be hired for events such as a baby shower, which gives groups a space of their own. Dogs are welcome inside. Big football matches draw a local crowd.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, with chicken katsu, a steak pie slice and a proper thick gammon, egg and chips named as favourites. One diner found the cooking noticeably better than at other Green King pubs, and the two mains deal is called really good value, with students also praising the drink prices. Close behind is the friendly bar staff, described as attentive and quick to serve, followed by the draught range, which includes Thatchers cider in four flavours and a good Guinness. The pub is described as full of locals and welcoming, with a lounge, garden and sports bar for watching rugby and football. One reviewer recalls a packed football night with drinks flowing until 4am, and another hired the function room for a baby shower of over 40 guests, finding the pub flexible. Staff there fetched ice and water straight away after the reviewer hurt her foot.

“Have eaten here a number of times and food always been great. Two mains deal is really good value. Can recommend the steak pie slice and gammon, egg and chips. Gammon is a proper thick gammon steak not a processed gammon round.”
