Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for the homemade food, led by the Philly steak with cheesy chips, which one family ordered three times over and a chef followed with free cheesy Doritos and tomatoes. Close behind are the burgers, described as juicy with excellent meat quality, plus a homemade tomato soup, a cheese and onion pie, and steak with salt and pepper chips. Children's meals and gravy also earn praise from parents. Beyond the kitchen, reviewers call it a friendly local pub with a pub dog, a family atmosphere, lovely staff, regular events, and a turnaround under new owners. A few mention sport on screen and cheap drinks. The one negative is a visit with a young baby, where the party was bluntly told cash would not be accepted, then a bar worker rudely asked them to turn down the music meant to help the baby sleep and made sarcastic comments when they asked for ice.

“Upon walking in with our young baby for a nice quiet afternoon drink. We was bluntly told they would not take cash. After that we play music to help the baby sleep and the bar maid rudely told us to turn the noise down. And she made sarcastic comments when we asked for ice. Not recomended 14:30 on 28/4/2026”
