About The Crofters
The Crofters is a pub in Bolton at 103 Bradshaw Rd, with a steak night built around fillet steaks and live music on the programme. The kitchen also serves bbq pulled pork, and the bar pours Tetley, a dark bitter, by the pint. Tables can be booked, including for large groups, so a bigger party can arrange seating together ahead of a night out. The pub keeps a short week rather than opening every day, which makes the steak night and the music events the main reasons to plan a visit.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are sharper than the praise is frequent. One diner waited a long time for drinks and received a Sunday roast they called a poor effort, with a manager described as rude. Another was greeted with "Ugh, what do you want" at the bar and received a small frozen daiquiri while the next customer got a large one. A booked anniversary table was occupied by other people, and the reviewer was moved twice and then asked to leave. One starter never arrived before the mains, which a reviewer shrugged off.

“Arrived for the 1st anniverary in July. Booked table 1 for two people included a meal. Arrived at 1.00pm. Table had four people sat drinking. The manager would not ask them to move. We was shown a table behind the stage for two with a reserved notice placed. Arrived at the table with our food with now four persons sat on our reserved table I complained to the manager who sat us on the next six seater reserved table, eating meal we had a load of abuse as we was sat on there table. The manager came of again and asked us to take our meals outside in the vestabule/smoking area On the three occassions not one person was eating food. Conclution its about getting as many people in the venue as possible. Pay at the door keep letting them in, instead prebooking as in the past. After complaining the bouncer asked both of us to leave. My partner and I agreed we will neaver step foot in the place. Shambolick and pour greed. PS. The food is terrible.”

“Went today for an awards ceremony, order some drinks at the bar and was greeted with a "Ugh, what do you want" one of the drinks was a frozen daiquiri and just had a small cup of it slammed Infront of us yet the guy next to us asked for one and he got asked which flavour and got a large pint of it. Then after the awards we was going to head up for tea as I've heard nothing but good things about the food, started walking back up to the pub and was greeted with "no we're shut, go back down" I'd like to say we'd return to try the food but I don't think so after that.”

“We had a fantastic evening here. The service was great - really friendly and welcoming from start to finish, in a relaxed atmosphere. We went for steak night and had two fillet steaks that just melted in the mouth, along with a bottle of wine - delicioud and great value too. Had a lovely time and would highly recommend.”

“1st visit for me. Nice pint of Tetley. Not many pubs sell a dark bitter. We ordered a starter and a main to our surprise the main meal arrived unfortunately the kitchen hadn't supplied the starters. A little disappointed but hey ho move on. The food we received was of good quality and very well cooked. I was very surprised at the size of the portions filled the plate. Great servings of well cooked food. All served by friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit. Large car park at the rear.”
