  “Excellent beers, the choice is very good, wonderful staff, happy and cheerful great with customers. Food was good, but not if you really want a meal, it's very much cheap food like you get at the end of the night, quick snack foods really fills a gap. Don't expect anything special.”

  “Very brilliant and safe environment always feel so comfortable coming in and the door staff are friendly and welcoming too and the staff on the bar are fantastic too and are calm and patient too as I have autism so they definitely understand and the food is fantastic and a very good and reasonable price and the djs are fantastic too Miss Amber is very pretty always and definitely is so funny and Pudsley is very friendly too both in dj and as manager too and Nathan huge credit to him working 6 days a week he’s such a kind dj and a really good friend and always knows how to make the visit enjoyable and has a good relationship with the customers too and I love the games and karaoke too but my main favourites are the roast dinners and lady and the camp I always enjoy them both like with lady and the camp different numbers each time and really knows how to make me laugh and I always find it good at the end of the show how Bonnie La Blue when she’s there finishing it off by getting the audience to give a cheer for lady and when she gets the audience to give that cheer and you hear the cheer it shows how much people have enjoyed it as I’m always telling my friends and family to come and see it and even with the Sunday roasts both lady and the camp and Sunday roast together makes it the best Sunday afternoons ever”

  “Blackpool Pride, Sunday 07 June 2026: You know what..? This venue is still a massive part of the LGBT local community. If you managed to see the very popular Lady & the Camp show on Sunday afternoon, it was an extravaganza of dance, comedy and well-devised routines. The Riverdance sketch was out of this world and the best bit of cabaret at The Flying Handbag for a long time. Paul Morgan-Trumper would not look out of place on any West End stage or the Strictly Come Dancing set!”

  “Absolutely top place and very safe and i feel well looked after when I am in here. Blackpools best door staff. The bar staff and djs are amazing too. The food is absolutely fine for what you would expect from a busy club. Recommended!!”

  “As a STR8 MTF CD I am reviewing the nightclub aspect. I come to Blackpool once a month generally, and always end the night in the handbag. It is a safe place for crossdressers / Tgirls : security is reassuring, and I got a disapproving look from head of security when I put my handbag down on the stage to have a dance so I took the cue and put it back on my shoulder. The guy who takes your money could be a bit friendlier. Bar staff are usually attentive, but you must understand they get very busy. The drinks used to get more expensive as the night went on, but that policy seems to have changed and is much welcomed by my purse. As an "older" customer a lot of the music is unknown to me but being someone who has always enjoyed the dancefloor, I do seem to manage to be on it lots and you can dance and smile with the rest of the crowd. I do wish people wouldn't dance with their drinks in their hands tho, as that can get messy. DJ Nathan, brilliant.”

  “This visit was mid afternoon on a Tuesday in January. Whilst being quiet, it still had a pleasant atmosphere and although its been a while, recognisable staff faces, but with a better attitude than I remember thankfully. Bar prices at this time we're average for BP, see price list. Kitchen items are available. The general condition of the premises are still good. No major maintenance issues. Toilets are well kept, smart and clean. Smoking terrace is available off the bar area. Music and entertainment as usual are one of the best.”

  “Went to see The Flying Handbag's Lady and the Camp that ran every Sunday afternoon this year has done it's final show for 2025 as Paul (the camp) will leave Miss Amber for the rest of the year to do panto. Fun, laughter, and #entertainment was had by all. #lgbtqia #drag #ladyandthecamp #blackpool”
