Customer Review Summary

Breakfast draws the most praise here, with one reviewer calling a large breakfast fresh, hot and very tasty, and well beyond what they expected of a Wetherspoons. Close behind are the burgers and chicken, a Tuesday steak night with a Mediterranean Salad on the side, and an apple crumble, alongside cheap drinks and prices reviewers call fantastic. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, and several mention a good atmosphere and the outdoor seating. Consistency is the recurring complaint. One diner found no pizzas, salads, burgers or peas on offer and was left with fish and chips that had hardly any fish inside the batter, while another waited an hour for food on a bank holiday after burgers had run out. One reviewer found the small plate sharer pricier than expected, and another mentions running the gauntlet of smokers at the entrance. Ordering through the app is described as swift once the order is placed, and a family of eight found the extensive menu suited to them.

“Every time we visit St Anne's we come to this Wetherspoons, it has a great atmosphere and the food is high standard and always well presented. The staff are friendly too.”

“We came here every day for three days to have food and drinks. Nothing to complain about from what we experienced. Food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Drinks are cheap and all served with a friendly smile. If you’re expecting posh dining then maybe go somewhere else. But when you choose to eat in Wetherspoons you should know to expect decent food and drinks at fantastic prices.”

“Went today for lunch with a friend. I was looking forward to pizza and my friend wanted a salad. They didn’t have any pizzas, salads, burgers or peas. I ended up ordering fish and chips which was extremely disappointing. There was hardly any fish in between the batter. The service was a bit haphazard, depending on who you were fortunate enough to be served by. I also saw 3 tables complaining about the food. I am usually a fan of Wetherspoons but this experience has changed that”

“A bit hit or miss. The other day we had burger and chicken, everything was just right. Tonight there were no burgers and we had to wait for an hour for our food to arrive on a bank holiday. Service is always excellent and the prices are very good. Can't fault it really.”
