About Pasture Birmingham
Pasture Birmingham is a restaurant at 15 Colmore Row in Birmingham city centre, and it is the newest site in a group built around fire, meat and music. The kitchen works with locally sourced produce, and a soundtrack runs through the dining room as part of the concept. Under the House Cuts heading, the menu lists a Chateaubriand, and starters include short rib croquettes and a crab toast. The restaurant opens daily, so the fire, the cuts and the music are on offer every day of the week.

Customer Review Summary
Steak leads the praise, with the chateaubriand named most often as cooked to perfection and one of the best steaks diners have eaten. Others single out the fillet with peppercorn sauce, the rib eye, and a buttery porterhouse. Short rib croquettes come up repeatedly as a standout. One diner says the crab toast alone is worth coming back for, and the squid, pork belly starter, mushroom parfait and aubergine also get mentions. Servers earn consistent credit for explaining the house cuts and the menu, and for handling allergies and cooking a children's steak rare as requested. Many reviewers came to mark anniversaries and birthdays. The caveats are small: one reviewer visiting during a heatwave found it very hot inside, and another suggests a lighter starter before the rich cottage pie. Several describe a birthday plate or celebration treat arriving at the end of the meal, and one diner was served a Lychee Martini that was not even on the menu.

“We visited Pasture in Birmingham City Centre for our anniversary and had a really great experience. We started with a few starters. The squid was very nicely presented and tasty. Nothing too crazy, just really good squid. The crab toast, though, was absolutely amazing. That alone is worth coming back for. We also had the roasted peppers, which were really nice. For the mains, I had the chicken breast. It was perfectly seasoned, juicy and cooked really well. My wife had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, cheesy spinach and truffle fries. The steak was cooked beautifully and everything worked really well together. The service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive and surprisingly quick, especially considering the quality of the food. It was our anniversary, so we wanted somewhere a little special, and Pasture definitely delivered. Great food, great service and a really nice atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back, especially for that crab toast!”

“went for my birthday, had the best time cant recommend enough. everything was amazing, service, food, wine and atmosphere. My partner had the aubergine and I never knew aubergine could taste that good and I had the fillet steak which was obviously excellent. Will 100% come back to try the rest of the menu. It was £120 for the two of us for 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 glasses of wine each but honestly it felt like good value for money for the quality.”

“An exceptional lunch from start to finish at Pasture Birmingham. The pork belly starter was packed with flavour, followed by an incredible, perfectly cooked chateaubriand for the main course. We rounded off the meal with a brilliant cheese board. The service and atmosphere were excellent throughout. Absolutely worth every penny and I cannot wait to return”

“We visited to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff serving our table were incredibly helpful with both of our allergies, they were also very knowledgeable about the food they were serving. My son had the childrens steak which was cooked perfectly for him (rare) and he was given a very good portion. Myself and wife shared the chateaubriand, it was the nicest piece of steak we have ever eaten and was cooked to perfection. The sides were also delicious and the presentation was outstanding. I can't recommend this place highly enough.”

“Fantastic dinner at Pasture. From the start, the service from Tommy was excellent, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, taking time to explain the different cuts to us. The set menu was great value for money, and meant we got to try lots of items on the menu. The highlight was the porterhouse steak, cooked to perfection, so buttery and melt in the mouth. The sirloin and fish of the day were also excellent. Looking forward to coming and recommending to friends!”
