About Cafe Mint

On Stratford Rd, Cafe Mint serves brunch daily during daytime hours, with a menu that runs to 111 dishes. The Mint House Special anchors the savory side, while the Desi Dawn breakfast, the Veggie Feast, and the Classic Tomato Shakshuka round out the vegetarian options, alongside the Mughal Morning and Shaam Special. The room takes walk-ins rather than reservations, so seating is first come. High chairs are available for families with young children dining in. For anyone short on time, the kitchen also packages orders for takeaway, so the same dishes travel off site as easily as they're served at the table. The format stays consistent throughout the day, with no separate evening menu to navigate since the kitchen closes after daytime service.

Customer Review Summary

The Desi Dawn breakfast draws the most repeat praise, with reviewers calling it exceptional and spot on, and one describing it as part of a birthday brunch where portion, quality, and taste all delivered. Close behind, the Shaam Special earns a specific recommendation for its fresh flatbread and small dishes, and the coffee comes up repeatedly as strong, deep, and rich. Several diners also mention the traditional pizza and naan oven and the Zaa'tar bread, with one recalling the chef bringing out samples for waiting children. Service and atmosphere are described as attentive, friendly, clean, and relaxed by multiple reviewers, though one wife's early visit when the place first opened was unimpressive. A more detailed negative account describes the Desi Dawn as inconsistently portioned, with poori running out before the chana and halwa, and pairs it with a Lotus Biscoff cheesecake called bland and too soft, plus a karak chai judged below other local chai spots. That same reviewer also objects to counter ordering instead of table service, feeling it disrupts the sit-down experience.

Absolutely amazing experience at Mint Breakfast Place. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented easily one of the best breakfast spots around. The service was outstanding from start to finish, with staff being welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere was perfect too; clean, relaxing, stylish, and had such a positive vibe throughout. A special thank you to the manager who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can really tell they care about customer experience and maintaining high standards. Hospitality like that makes people want to come back again and again. Highly recommend Mint to anyone looking for quality food and excellent service!

I really enjoyed my trip to Mint. 1 of the unique features is the traditional pizza/naan oven. There is enough seating inside that feels spacious, booths at the back. Clean environment. Very fast service. Friendly staff. There is a good selection off food on the menu, including traditional middle eastern options & veg options. The only thing i would recommend is adding some good mocktails to the menu. I enjoyed the vegi breakfast & will be a returning customer.

Great find in the middle of Hall Green. The Shaam special is highly recommended. Delicious fresh flat bread and very tasty small dishes. Strong perfectly brewed black coffee was excellent. I will definitely recommend and shall be back.

We have tried Mint for the first time today and it was a very lovely experience. We came for brunch, and whilst the children were waiting, the chef kindly bought some samples of Zaa’tar bread out for us all to try. As anyone with children …

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
