  “Every waiter we had was exceptional, especially Faith, who had no problem taking on our table last minute. She was extremely friendly, lovely energy and we felt really taken care of. She really does show the effort she puts in to her customers, and ultimately made our experience 10 times better :) Me and my sister had an amazing time here! The food was absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is so gorgeous. Thank you!!”

  “The best thing about this place was the service. I believe our waitress’ name was Shinola (I may have misheard and completely butchered the spelling!) but she was amazing. So helpful, cheerful and exactly the kind of person you want to be served by at 10:30 in the morning. She sorted all of our tables needs, couldn’t ask for a better server! Thank you Shinola!! :) Unfortunately though, the food was a big let down for me. I believe my two friends enjoyed their meals (breakfast and shakshuka); however I did not enjoy mine. I had the eggs Benedict in which I swapped the ham for bacon. My plate came super hot (which the server informed me of) yet somehow my food was lukewarm. The hollandaise sauce was awful, which is a big let down as it’s one of the keys to a good eggs benny. The eggs were not very runny, more gummy if anything. l also got an extra side of smashed avocado, which was terrible; I’m unsure what they put it in but I didn’t even eat it .. another big let down. The only thing I enjoyed was my iced coffee. I had high hopes for this place and unfortunately it will now take a lot for me to give them another chance.”

  “Our first visit for brunch and unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow. There was a long wait just to place our order, and an even longer wait for drinks and food . The tea was very diluted and clearly hadn’t been brewed properly. Milk was served in a tiny pot, and we were only given one sugar each — both of which were hard — meaning we had to repeatedly ask for basic items and wait each time. The wait for food was excessive, with nearby tables also raising complaints. I had a couple of bites of my meal, which okay but my husband was unhappy with the quality of his. Due to their delays, we were forced to leave the restaurant before even finishing our food. Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and gave the impression that corners were being cut. If weekends are consistently busy, expectations should be set more clearly, staffing levels reviewed, and greater attention paid to basic details. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return, nor recommend.”

  “We were drawn in by the look of the pancakes but we were really disappointed with them. They were salty, hardly any vegan cream on the vegan one, the other one came out with no biscoff sauce on at first and had to be taken back. They were dry and chewy and we could only eat half of it. They look good in the photo but trust me they were not worth it. Some of the staff were working hard, making up for the manager in a stripey shirt who was doing barely any work. The people next to us asked for their order to be taken and he said one of the other waiters would do it, just terrible management, he was mainly walking around looking busy. It had been a while since I had been to a Bills and I wont be going back, and definitely would not recommend this one to anyone. They need to sort their management and their kitchen staff out - one of the staff there had to take at least 3 dishes back whilst we were there because of it being made wrong.”

  “Bill’s at the Bullring is in a great, central location, right opposite St. Martin’s Church with entrances from both the mall and street level, the interior is large, unique and really pretty and had great vibes. While I appreciate that they have a dedicated gluten-free dinner menu, I do find many of their dishes do not meet my personal tastes. The brunch menu, on the other hand, is some of the best, but unfortunately, I visited after the 4 pm cut-off point, so on this occasion, I went for Bill’s Classic Burger with rosemary-salted fries. My burger was quite tasty, the vegetables were fresh, and everything was well seasoned and tasty and well portioned, and I enjoyed it. It was customised correctly as I asked to add cheese and remove pickles. I ordered the burger as medium, and it was cooked to my liking. Some menu items are slightly pricey, but given the quality and atmosphere, I do think they do enough to justify this. I do like how they added fries with the burger, though, rather than having it as a paid option, which some places do, although the cheese did carry an extra charge. My main server seemed really friendly and helpful, although the other staff members seemed slightly less interested, and I had to ask for extra sauces while the waiter who brought my food was walking away. A service charge was added, which I decided to remove on this occasion. I was told to manually enter the cost of my food via their online payment system, but this way felt strange as it was still showing an amount to pay as I left, and never generated me a receipt. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant, centrally located within the city, and I would return on future visits to Birmingham as I had a nice time here due to the quality of my burger and the atmosphere.”

  “It was very busy though that isn’t the establishments fault. Our server, Kechae, was absolutely amazing. She was attentive and understanding of our disabilities, and made sure we had everything we needed, even if we didn’t ask firsthand. The atmosphere and decorations inside the restaurant were beautifully designed and it was a very nice experience overall. Thank you. :)”

  “​I had a mixed experience at Bill's. On the positive side, the staff are very nice and welcoming, which created a pleasant atmosphere despite the issues we faced. ​The food, however, was a letdown. While the pancakes are definitely value for money in terms of portion size, they were unfortunately overcooked, making them quite dry. Even worse were the fries; they were awful and not crispy at all, tasting as if they had been left sitting in the kitchen for a long time before being served. To make matters worse, the table was very small, which made it feel quite cramped and difficult to fit all our plates and drinks comfortably. Great service, but the kitchen and the seating space could definitely be improved.”

  “Thankyou for such an enjoyable and delicious breakfast! It was my moms birthday so i booked in advance and mentioned in the booking notes to "make the meal special" and they really went above and beyond! Service was high standard from start to finish, very polite and friendly staff. We had the biscoff and bananna pancakes, vanilla chai and pistachio hot drink, They made a fuss of my mom by bringing out her meal with a sparkler and singing happy birthday which was very unexpected and to top it all off they very kindly removed my moms meal and drink off the bill so we had her meal for free!! Overall 10/10, again thankyou for taking the time out to make my moms birthday special!!”
