Customer Review Summary

Catering for big occasions is what reviewers raise most, with a wedding, a 40th birthday party and a funeral reception all praised for delicious food and flexible handling of dietary needs. Guests at the funeral did not realise the all-vegetarian spread was meatless, and wedding guests raved about a vegan dish made as a proper meal rather than a meal with items removed. Close behind is the cafe itself, where reviewers describe delicious breakfasts, lunches and takeaway sandwiches, friendly staff who are obliging about going off menu, and a lovely outdoor seating area. An afternoon tea with a big selection and festive fries at a team Christmas lunch also earn praise. The complaints are fewer. One reviewer found the chicken stack very poor, with some of it inedible, and was disappointed that staff offered only an apology after being told. Another found a toastie not very warm and noted no one checked on the table. One reviewer calls the food relatively expensive. Weekends are described as busy.

“We asked Café Nosh, Dundonald to provide the catering after my mum’s cremation, and they exceeded every expectation. The spread was simply outstanding, an incredible selection of hot and cold finger food, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Everything was vegetarian (requested by me), yet so many of our guests commented on how amazing the food was and didn’t even realise it was an entirely vegetarian menu. Throughout the afternoon, people kept asking who had provided the catering because they were so impressed. Every single person left talking about the food, and I was delighted to recommend Café Nosh. At such a difficult and emotional time, knowing everything was taken care of so professionally meant more than I can say. The quality, generosity and attention to detail were exceptional, and the food played such a special part in bringing everyone together to celebrate Mum’s life. Thank you to the whole team at Café Nosh. You helped make a very difficult day just that little bit easier, and we will always be grateful. Five stars simply aren’t enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I had a 1920s themed 40th birthday party at Malone House and Cafe Nosh catered the event. The food was delicious and all the guests agreed! Kyle was the Head man that night and was so helpful and friendly. Phil was very accommodating with all the dietary needs, too. Thank you for everything!”

“Only been here for breakfast but the selection of food is good and if you stray a bit off the menu and tell staff what you want they're very obliging. On the point of staff, I've always found them friendly, accommodating, and usually smiling. During the week it's reasonably quiet but weekends are busy. The fact I've been here several times speaks for itself. Good food, friendly staff, and comfortable surroundings. What's not to like.”

“The food here is so delicious. There aren’t a lot of options for eating out in Dundonald but this is one place it’s impossible to get a bad meal in. Whether it’s a sit in meal or take away sandwich the food is unbelievably tasty, and the staff are lovely.”
