Quick info
About Betty's Cafe & Bistro
Betty's Cafe & Bistro is a coffee shop on Ballynahinch Rd in Belfast, open daily for daytime service. The menu runs to a granola bowl, toasties, filled sodas, wraps, and fries, with food brought out to tables rather than collected at a counter. Seating fills up regularly, so arriving with some flexibility helps. There's no need to book ahead, as the cafe operates on a walk-in basis. A step-free entrance makes it workable for visitors with mobility needs, and high chairs are available for families with young children. The premises has a single toilet on site.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are about cost and portions. One diner found a filled soda at £9.30 silly, and another says prices ran higher than expected while the filling in sandwiches, wraps and the fry was poor. That reviewer also waited until their tea was finished for food and sent back cold chips to be reheated, though they noted the cafe had only just opened. Another reviewer found service a little slow on a busy day and the granola bowl hard to mix because of its size. One reviewer described the chef coming over to introduce himself.

“Can't complain about the food here or the service, staff are lovely. The prices are just silly. A filled soda £9.30, couldn't belive it lol its a pity as this is a definite no no to go back to if the prices are like this.”

“Ended up in Carryduff (of all places!) & needed sustenance... We happened on Betty's Cafe & Bistro, a delightful place that looks fantastic & is warm, welcoming & wholesome (I needed an extra w to finish that)... The cafe was bright, airy & place was buzzing, all the tables were full & the atmosphere was lively but not overpowering, you could still hold a conversation at the table without being drowned out. The staff were friendly, helpful & informative about the food. The food itself was tasty, hot & delicious, exact what you want in a cafe. I can fully recommend this place, even if for the fact that they are doing festive fries in March!”

“A lovely brunch spot:) Called in for lunch today - really speedy service, food and drinks were excellent (and really well priced considering the quality), and all the staff, particularly those that we spoke to - Lynsey and Holly - were incredibly kind, welcoming and friendly. This was the first time I’ve visited, and even from observing, it is clear that Holly has a brilliant rapport with her customers - she seemed to know all her regulars orders off by heart and is just seemingly a genuine, kind and hardworking individual - a real credit to the team. I cannot recommend somewhere more!! Thank you, I will definitely be back.”
