About Town Square
Town Square is a 300-seat bar at 45 Botanic Avenue in the Queen's Quarter of Belfast, across the road from Botanic train station. Guests order and pay from the table by scanning a QR code, so a big room can run without a trip to the counter. The food menu covers burgers, including the Cheeky Double with secret sauce, and dirty fries. On the drinks side, the bar pours Camden Pale Ale on draft and mixes cocktails and mocktails. The room has modern industrial decor, with music playing.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food and the relaxed, lively atmosphere, with the burgers drawing the most specific mentions: a Cheeky Double with a secret sauce described as incredible, and burgers made with fresh beef. Close behind are the dirty fries, called perfectly crispy and well spiced, along with shredded chicken tacos and buffalo wings with a serious kick. One visitor compared the sweet chili and girl dinner stack to Canadian poutine and liked the savoury chicken. Drinks get their own mentions, including a blueberry bramble cocktail, a watermelon mock-garita, Heverlee, Camden Pale Ale on draft, and Guinness said to taste better than back home. The staff are described as friendly, warm and helpful, including one who handled a custom burger order without cheese and others who helped a group with ordering. Reviewers like ordering and paying from the table by QR code, and the outdoor seating with heaters. The one drawback raised is that the bar sits a bit of a trek from the city core, though another reviewer notes it is directly across from Botanic station. Several mention the music and a busy Monday night.

“Popped in for dinner on our last night in Belfast. We were kicking ourselves that we had only discovered Town Square so late in our stay in Belfast. Staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. We arrived quite late and were urged to place our food order sooner, rather than later. We had a little difficulty with doing this and staff were on hand to help us. Food was fantastic as was the service and the banter. Thank you, Town Square, for a fantastic last night in Belfast. Not sure when I will be back, but will be sure to swing by for a visit.”

“Had a great evening at Town Square! The staff were very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. It was busy for a Monday night, which says a lot about the place. Good atmosphere, good vibes all around, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back!”

“Was looking for a vibey restaurant/bar on botanic avenue and I found just the place. Started off with drinks; we got the blueberry bramble cocktail and the watermelon mock-garita mocktail. Both were fantastic. As for food we both got the shredded chicken tacos and shared the dirty fries. The tacos were really fresh and the chicken was tender, but the real hit were the dirty fries; perfect blend of spices and were perfectly cooked and crispy. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.”

“Great atmosphere, everything has been thought of, from the minute you sit down. The service is a breeze! You can order and pay from your table, food is delicious and served reasonably quick, burgers made with fresh beef and heat lamps outside (that you don't have to keep clicking to turn on every 5 minutes). A very relaxing experience. A place to go back to again and again!”

“I originally headed to this spot after seeing a flyer for an Afrobeat night, but even though I missed the event, I was glad I stayed.. Town Square has a great, flexible vibe—it starts with an upscale, relaxed feel and shifts into a high-energy hangout as the night progresses. While the QR code ordering is standard, the staff were great about handling a custom order for a 'Cheeky Double' burger (minus the cheese). The food was actually a highlight; that secret sauce is incredible, and the buffalo wings had a serious, delicious kick. I paired it with a Heverlee beer and just enjoyed the ambiance. It’s got a solid mix of indoor and outdoor seating, and the space is large enough to accommodate a good-sized group. It’s a bit of a trek from the city core, but for a high-quality burger and a chill social atmosphere, it’s a total win.”
