  “Called in for breakfast with my daughter. Nice atmosphere and reasonably busy for a Wednesday morning. Staff very polite and helpful. Food was good and plentiful, both had Ulster Fry's. Daughter wanted American breakfast but was told none left. Will try again”

  “Appalling service, not even worth 1 star. Originally sat upstairs, though we were asked to move back downstairs as it wasn't open yet, which is fair. However, our food had already been ordered to the upstairs table and we were assured that it would be brought to our new one; after over an hour of waiting we enquired about our food only to be told it was already made and brought out, but they didn't see us so they took it away again. We were sat directly in view of the bar and at the place where the waitress said she'd bring it to us, even walking past us multiple times. The food itself was overcooked, in dirty bowls and dirty pint glasses. The coleslaw was a bright greenish yellow, definitely didn't look fit for human consumption. Considering we had been there over 2 hours at this point, we asked for takeaway boxes and were told they'd bring the boxes over to us. Another 15 minutes goes by, still waiting for the containers, we ask again only to be told that they are waiting for the delivery which even they were unsure of what time it would arrive. Monday mornings aren't particularly busy, so there was no excuse for such slow and pathetic service. Because of this we spent way longer in there than we had originally planned and ended up missing not 1 but 2 trains home as it took so long.”

  “Avoid this spoons if you can. Having been to quite a few Wetherspoons across the UK, I can confidently say this is by far the worst one I've experienced. The issues weren't just with the food, the staff were repeatedly dishonest, which made an already frustrating visit feel genuinely disrespectful. We ordered wings and waited 40 minutes before going up to chase them, only to be told the order hadn't come through. When the wings finally arrived, they were stone cold and only 5 of the 10 we'd ordered were on the plate. Foolishly, while waiting for the wings we ordered a pizza as well, this was another 50 minute wait and at that point, we knew we were partly to blame for staying, but we were exhausted and hungry and in no state to go searching for food elsewhere. When we went up to check at the 50-minute mark, we were again told that the order hadn't come through. We knew this was a lie, because the drinks that came with the meal had already been delivered to our table. They clearly had the order. Within 10 minutes of us complaining, the food mysteriously appeared, cold as ice, and obviously sitting around for a long time before being brought out. Wetherspoons is our go-to when we need a fast, reliable drink / meal. We have never once had to wait this long, and we have never been lied to like this. Utterly disappointing.”

  “Absolutely disgusted from start to finish..bill nearly £40..arrived in a new city..this Wetherspoons is by far the worse..ordered at 10.17a.m. arrived 20 mins later..had to return all breakfasts..they were all cold..they then took them …”
