About Post House
Post House is a pub on Malone Rd in Belfast, with a folding wall at the front that opens to the street and an upstairs balcony on the first floor. The kitchen runs a Sunday carvery with a multi-course menu. It also serves the chicken stack, grilled chicken on a bed of mash and green beans covered in gravy, with chips offered instead of mash. Guinness and Beamish are on tap, and the pub shows football on TV. Live music plays on weekends. Post House is open daily and welcomes dogs. A student discount applies Sunday to Thursday.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are about noise and service. Several say the football and weekend live music are too loud to talk over, and one reports moving seats repeatedly. Another carvery diner found the beef full of gristle, the yorkshires like frozen ones, and no one came to take a drink order. The tiramisu and banoffee slice were called too cold and hard, and one waitress was described as unpleasant on a graduation outing.

“The live music is far too loud every weekend and have had to move seats several times and usually end up having to leave. I know I’m not the only one as have also seen people moving. There are far too many speakers which really doesn’t help.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and very kind. Was sat on the first floor with Jamie Dylan and Drew, they were so helpful and very kind. I ordered the chicken stack and they were more than happy to help with my requests in altering the food with chips instead of the listed mash. Emily was a great help in finding me a seat and fixing me a drink while I waited for my food. 10/10 experience would reccomend.”

“Booked in for the Sunday Cavery, sat with food and drinks in less than ten minutes. Food was outstanding, best I’ve had in a long time will definitely be back. Good value for money and good Guinness. Staff are always super friendly as well. Ideal Sunday afternoon”

“I went for lunch and for some reason the place was practically empty. Not sure why 'cause the food was very good. I had the chicken stacker which I THOUGHT was a sandwich, but it was grilled chicken on top of a bed of mash and green beans covered in gravy. Very tasty! I love that they opened the folding wall in the front to let the fresh air in! Great Guinness pours, too.”
