About The Salt House
The Salt House is a bar and restaurant in Barnsley, at 46 The Glass Works, where live music and a DJ play on the same floor as the dining tables, so a meal and the entertainment share one room. Cocktails sit on the menu alongside the food. Brisket appears in several forms, including a sharing platter, and the Sunday roast comes with brisket and Yorkshire pudding. Bottomless brunch runs in a 90-minute slot with a booked table, and a bottomless bubbles option pours prosecco without the cocktails. Reservations are taken at a booking desk at the door, and tables can have a wait at busy times. Seating is fairly close together. The bar is open daily.

“Second bottomless brunch here. It was great last time, but our second visit was amazing. Food - great, constant flow of drinks, brilliant atmosphere. Definitely worth the money. Massive shout out to Emma our server, she was absolutely fantastic! She made sure we were happy throughout. Great place.”

“Always a friendly greeting. Cocktails made professionally by Jack or Adam if you're lucky to catch them on shift!. Taste incredible too. Only issue we had was the toilets were not clean, both disabled and ladies were dirty and wiffy. This is the only thing that let the place down on a friday afternoon. Otherwise a great experience x x”

“Went for the bottomless brunch on a Friday. Was great fun with a great atmosphere, George, Flav & Kayleigh were exceptional. They topped up our drinks every time they were getting low. A very good selection of drinks too! Would highly recommend!”

“Worst bottomless brunch i've ever done. Arrived 10 minutes before our booking. Time came for it and the table wasn't ready. 10 minutes later we get to the table. Another 10 before anyone came to see us. Another 10 before we got our first round. 30 minutes in and we've had one drink. Long story short. 1 hour into our 90minutes brunch and our table of 5 had only 2 drinks. The drinks were ridiculously small even for a brunch. Food came 15 minutes before the brunch was due to end and it was again tiny portions and stone cold. Looking over at the other tables, seems plenty of them also complained to the manager with one table leaving half way through. I don't blame the team but this is the worst brunch i've ever been a part of. I wouldn't mind but for the higher price of £45, this was a joke. The man serving us did offer to double up our drinks orders but with the slow service and fact we were an hour in, this did not remotely make up for it. Would highly recommend to avoid and go somewhere else.”

“Went for Sunday lunch I had the lamb cutlets which were very fatty only had one piece of meat that didn't have fat on, so not worth the mone, got the cauliflower cheese as extra which was very dry and burnt. My husband had the brisket which was lovely the Yorkshire pudding was nice infact all rest of the meal was ok if it had been hot every veg was cold 2 minutes after being served it. Sorry to say not be going back.”
