Customer Review Summary
The carvery draws the most comment, and opinion splits sharply. Some diners say the beef and turkey were cooked perfectly with plenty of choice, while others report roasties like marbles, fridge cold meat, thin gravy and cauliflower cheese with no cheese. One reviewer describes dry, fatty beef and being refused a slice of gammon, and another found no meats available at the carvery and left for KFC. Carvery staff are described as looking like they wanted to be elsewhere, and one reviewer says staff can be rude and ignore people, though floor staff and waitresses are called lovely and friendly. Close behind, desserts are called generous and big enough to share, and the mash, parsnips and hunters chicken earn praise. One reviewer reports that her husband cut his arm on glass at the carvery ledge. One parent describes staff taking away a meal and bringing it back so a son with autism could eat alongside her carvery, and another diner recalls a waitress fetching a bag for their dogs.

“This has to be the most depressing "adult" bacon cheeseburger I have ever seen. Fortunately the kids are free but the "fresh" cucumber side was old and slimy. Definitely not worth a visit and one to avoid unfortunately”

“Visited today for a Birthday meal. The meals we had were perfect. Hunters chicken was perfectly cooked, Carvery had plenty of choice and the beef and turkey were cooked perfectly. A lovely burger meal and scampi meal. All the food was hot and very tasty. Desserts.....well what can I say...never seen any as generous for the price. Service was polite and prompt. We will visit again. Thank you to all the staff.”
