Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the Sunday roast, with one describing a beef dinner cooked perfectly, with lots of gravy and creamy horseradish sauce, followed by a sticky toffee pudding called the best in a long time. Close behind is a lamb baguette with mint sauce and chunky chips, and several others simply call the food delicious, with huge portions and good value deals on drinks and food. Staff draw the most consistent praise, described as friendly, helpful and quick even when a large party was eating outside, and one reviewer says the front of house made a difficult family outing enjoyable. Reviewers also like the large beer garden, the open fire, and the two cosy upstairs rooms used for a baby shower. One notes the car park was full, though parking on the road was no problem. No recurring complaints appear. One birthday group had the kitchen make a fruit dessert with a candle in it for a friend.

“Had a lovely family meal out recently, especially after a tough time with illness. The two gentlemen ‘front of house’ were incredibly helpful and genuinely made us feel welcome. The food and drinks were spot on, and I loved the clean vibe of the place. They were friendly throughout, checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. It turned a challenging outing into a truly enjoyable experience—thank you!”

“Looks deceptive from the outside but has a nice garden with plenty of tables & is spacious inside. Food was beautiful & the service we received was fabulous, above & beyond.”

“I was there celebrating a birthday. I had a lamb baguette with chunky chips. Perfectly cooked lamb with mint sauce, on a warm, light and crusty baguette, it was delicious. The chips were also cooked perfectly. They also made a special something out of fruit with a candle in for my friend's birthday, it was a nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble and service was great. The friends I was with also really enjoyed the food.”
