“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Gem of a Stay – Can’t Wait to Return! We recently spent one night at The Scotts Arms and honestly, it was far better than we expected from the moment we walked in. A perfect blend of warm hospitality, and great vibes. With that proper friendly pub feel that’s so hard to find these days. The staff were absolutely wonderful every single one we met was cheerful, and genuinely happy to help nothing was too much trouble. Big thanks to the team for being so brilliant. We ate there too, and the food was delicious hearty, tasty, and clearly made with care and everything came out hot and fresh. Our one-night stay was comfortable, clean, and exactly what we needed. If you’re looking for a proper pub with heart, great food, and people who actually care this is the place. We’ll definitely be back.”

“The menu isn't too big, but the food is of a very high quality. The price reflects that, of course, but I felt I got my money's worth. The staff were all really lovely and polite. Highly recommended.”

“We go to the Scott’s Arms every few months with friends and normally we have no complaints as the food and service is normally excellent. We must have hit it at a bad time today as the restaurant was quite busy and the service was pretty poor. We went for lunch at 1:0pm we got the usual very pleasant greeting from the staff, got seated at our table and the waitress came and took our drinks order, around ten minutes later she came back to take our food order, two of our party had a starter, which took over 30 mins to arrive, whilst our main courses took exactly one hour to come to the table. The food was excellent as normal it was just the time waiting for it. The waitress came to ask if everything with the food was ok, which it was. When we had finished the main course we waited and waited for the plates to be cleared and be offered a sweet and coffee. Which didn’t happen. It was now getting towards 3pm the pub was emptying as were țhe staff, in the end I went to the bar to ask for the bill so we could leave, the dinner pates were still on the table This spoiled a perfectly nice meal, it was as if we were being ignored, the table at the side of us had to ask the waitress to take their coffee order as they appeared to be waiting for service as well. I think that the time taken to serve 2 starters and 4 main courses in 2 hours was rather excessive.”

“It was my partners birthday so we decided to come for a nighttime meal , it was a lovely sunny night so we asked to sit in the garden but you can only drink in there, this was 7pm. Lovely food couldn’t fault it, always have a nice meal here. Asked for the bill, said I was paying in cash. Waiter stood over me as I was paying and sorting my money out at the table, never had the change brought back over to me, was obviously going to leave a tip but would of liked to of picked the amount I was going to tip rather than getting no change back, one way of getting tips I suppose.”
