Customer Review Summary
The Sunday roast draws the most attention, with diners praising the beef and roast pork as moist and generously portioned, though one found the chicken a bit dry and the veg overcooked. Steak sandwiches, haddock and chips, and lamb shank also earn praise, and many describe friendly staff and a spacious, well kept pub with a garden out back. Busy Sundays come with a small car park that fills quickly, and a couple of reviewers suggest booking in advance, one saying it gets the comfy chairs rather than the hard benches. The sharpest criticism comes from one evening visit where drinks took twenty minutes, the macaroni cheese was plain pasta with cheese sprinkled on top, the halloumi and chips portions were tiny, and the chocolate bomb with hot chocolate did nothing. That reviewer also sat at a wobbly booth table with blinds that were said to be decorative and did not work. Other diners, by contrast, say food arrived quickly and hot, even when the pub was packed.

“Really lovely meal at this pub / restaurant. Welcoming staff as soon as we walked in. Spacious seating area. Good range of food. All food was very good quality, starters, mains and deserts. Good service, good food and would visit again.”

“Every member of staff was friendly and professional, the service was impeccable. The food was exceptional. We had the haddock and chips, the lamb shank and the pork between us 5/5 for every dish including the desserts. The toilets were fresh and clean and the bar and restaurant were very smart and comfortable.”

“Had a terrific Beef roast here on Sunday. The food was cooked beautifully, really well presented, and tasted absolutely beautiful ! I would normally be able to give you an indication of how good the desserts are, but the main was so big I couldn't manage a dessert afterwards !! It gets really busy here on Sunday, so book in advance, and be prepared to spend a bit of time looking for somewhere to park as the car park is quite small and the roads around it fill up really quickly ! Much to recommend here though. Joined tge list of 'favourites' for us 👌”

“Had a midweek lunch here with my wife and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the steak sandwiches were delicious. The garden is also a very enjoyable place to spend time and the whole pub is very well maintained. The staff are also very friendly and there is a great selection of drinks on offer. The free wifi is also reliable and fast and also works in the garden.”

“Enjoyed a delicious meal at the ‘White Hart’ in Brasted yesterday. The food was very tasty, well presented and fresh with generous portions and good value for money. The service was attentive, with a particularly enthusiastic waiter, who was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. The interior of the pub is very spacious and offers a comfortable dining experience. The garden outside looked beautiful, with plenty of shaded areas affording comfortable areas, out of the sun, to enjoy a drink or meal. Will definitely return.”
