  “Had Sunday lunch here. This is a lovely pub, with a wonderful garden and terrace in the back. All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Had a roast which was OK, the bread sauce was a gloop of soggy bread and far from a sauce. The veg selection was the poorest I’ve ever seen on a roast, a few wilted spring greens with peas (don’t put peas on a roast!) and undercooked carrots. Just adding a parsnip would make a difference, it just came across as stingy. I would suggest try use gravy jugs that don’t nearly scold you when you’re pouring the gravy on to your plate! When paying nearly £24 for a roast dinner it needs to be perfect, sadly they’ve not yet got it quite right. I would recommend going for a drink but think twice about eating here as the prices they charge doesn’t represent value for money.”

  “We had an absolutely wonderful time when we visited the Fox in Keston as a group of friends for a birthday celebration. We sat outside on the beautiful terrace, had a fantastic meal and were so very well looked after by the amazing team who went above and beyond. Thank you so much to Gail and the team for making this visit just as good as our first. We shall be back.”

  “​Dear Management, ​I am writing to share some feedback regarding our recent dining experience at The Fox. ​On the positive side, the atmosphere was very nice, and I am pleased to say that the food was extremely tasty. ​However, our dining experience was unfortunately overshadowed by our server, Paul. Regrettably, he was exceptionally unwelcoming and displayed a very poor demeanor throughout our meal. Not once did he come over and ask if we were enjoying the food. Customer service is a crucial part of the hospitality industry, and his attitude made us feel uncomfortable, leaving us with the impression that he did not want to be there. ​Compounding this, an automatic service charge was added to the bill. While we appreciate that service charges are customary, it is frustrating to pay extra when the standard of service falls so far short of expectations. ​I hope you can take this as constructive feedback to address with your front-of-house team, as the quality of the food deserves to be matched by welcoming service!”

  “Had a very lovely lunch on the terrace. Great food. Service was very good with everything explained and kitchen were able to make adjustment to one dish for a guest who wanted it. Lovely place will def be back .”

  “A little slice of heaven! We always have such a wonderful time at The Fox, whether it’s a date night or a family meal. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere every time we visit. Their outdoor space is lovely—perfect for enjoying in the summer—and it’s dog friendly too, which makes it even more special being able to bring your furry friends along. The food is always delicious, with plenty of great gluten-free options, which makes such a difference for those with dietary restrictions. We can’t recommend it enough!”
