About Trigger Pond
Trigger Pond is a family-friendly pub and restaurant in Warrington, on Great Sankey, where dogs are welcome alongside the rest of the family. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the food, with the mixed grill praised for getting every meat right where other pubs serve dry chicken or poor steak. Close behind are the generous portions and a roast beef Sunday tea with a fab Yorkshire pudding. Desserts also come up, including the fudge cake and a Jaffa cake slice. One returning visitor says the food has improved since the change of management. Staff are described as friendly, helpful and chatty, and one group held a Christmas get together there for the third year running. A wake and a football afternoon were also handled well. Reviewers like the ample parking and the dog friendly welcome. The complaints are fewer. One diner found a lasagna that tasted microwaved and a rare sirloin of poor quality, and called a waitress extremely rude. Another party of six had desserts arrive one by one with gaps between them. Several reviewers mention ordering by QR code and booking online, and one praises the drink and voucher discounts.

“I had a lovely roast beef Sunday tea here yesterday . The beef was lovely and the Yorkshire pud was fab . Fresh vegetables . I had the Jaffa cake slice for dessert which I really enjoyed too. The food is well presented. The staff are nice and good service . Will definitely be going back !”

“Very nice pub. Lovely food, especially the mix grill most pubs don’t nail all the meats and often you end up with dry chicken or bad steak. But they nail it, and I’d like to especially mention great service from young lad Cal, who got all our food to us no fuss, speedy and was exceptionally polite.”

“Food was good. They didn't manage to get the food out all at the same time which was a little annoying. There were six of us and the desserts came out one by one with intervals in between. Staff were pleasant.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visited The Trigger Pond on 17th June for a wake and ended up staying on to watch the football. The food and drinks were excellent throughout the day, with great service and a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Everything was well organised, and the staff looked after everyone brilliantly during what was an emotional occasion. A great venue that managed to strike the perfect balance between being respectful and relaxed. Would definitely recommend.”

“Great place with friendly accommodating staff. Dog friendly which is main thing for us as mongo gets to see all his doggy friends as well.”
