About Evenwood Farm - Farmhouse Inns
Evenwood Farm - Farmhouse Inns is a pub in Runcorn on Evenwood Cl, built around a carvery where a chef carves at the counter. A veggie carvery option sits alongside the roast dinner. A children's indoor play area gives families with young children somewhere to play during a visit. The lunch menu includes a Yorkshire pudding wrap and a tikka dish, and breakfast is served buffet-style. Cakes and desserts, among them lemon cake and ice cream, are part of the offering. The interior is spacious and pub-style, and orders go through the app, with drinks brought to the table.

Customer Review Summary
The carvery and roast dinner draw the most praise, with reviewers describing good portions, fair value and a buffet style breakfast alongside it. A Yorkshire pudding wrap and a tikka also get mentions, and the cakes, described as massive, moist and scrumptious, bring several diners back, with one taking desserts home in boxes. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and helpful, and a free lemon cake and ice cream for a birthday is noted. The complaints are serious when they appear. One reviewer found the carvery poor, with hard undercooked vegetables, soggy reheated potatoes, rock hard stuffing and a cheese pie as the only vegetarian option. Another waited almost an hour for a cheeseburger that arrived without the salad, after steaks and gammon had run out and a long queue at the till. That reviewer was refunded and offered a free beer or dessert. One diner also suggests sitting far from the children's play area because of parents' behaviour, though staff helped when asked.

“We always visit Evenwood Farm WA7 1LZ for a roast dinner and the last visit was to celebrate a birthday. We have never been let down by the staff or the quality of food and the numbers of people eating there shows just what the quality is like and the drink. As it was a special occasion, Allan surprised us with a lovely piece of lemon cake and some ice cream, which was welcoming and thoughtful and though we all had eaten our fill, we did find room following the lovely gesture from Allen. So, thank you once again Evenwood for your superb service and food which made the day extra special. See you again soon.”

“Carvery was very poor, hard undercooked vegetables, potatoes were reheated and soggy, no cauliflower cheese available, stuffing was so hard you couldn't get it out with the spoon, Yorkshire pudding was tasteless and soggy,.. The only part I liked was the mash and onion gravy which was lovely but the rest was a waste of money. The ONLY option for a vegetarian was a cheese pie, who has a cheese pie with a roast? It's not asking for alot to make a nut roast option available for people who don't/can't eat meat. Staff were friendly though just a shame the food was a huge letdown”

“We came today and we were seated straight away, we ordered through the app which was really easy to do. The drinks arrived really quickly and we're delivered to the table by a young lady called Hannah. I ordered the carvery and my partner ordered the tikka. The food arrived quickly and promptly and was very hot. The carvery chef Karl was very chatty and happy. He was happy to assist and get us what we needed. The manager Charlotte came over and checked everthing was going well with our visit. Another manager called Harry also checked in on us during our visit to make sure we were enjoying our meals.”

“My mum and I visited Evenwood Farm yesterday (tuesday 23rd) and were really impressed. It was exceptionally hot outside, and as soon as we entered, we were met with a comfortable atmosphere, and a gentleman called Allan who couldnt do enough for us. He was really helpful and friendly, and helped us to take some desserts home in neat boxes. We will definately be back, thankyou 😊.”
