Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come above all for how dog friendly the pub is, with a dog menu, doggy sausages, treats, bowls and a pet station at the door, and dogs welcome both inside and out. Close behind is the food, with fish and chips, steak and ale pie, a Motherclucka burger and Philly Cheesesteak wraps singled out, plus salt and pepper chicken bites and nachos. Portions are repeatedly called generous and hot, and several describe the staff as friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. Waits on busy Sundays come up in a couple of reviews, and one reviewer felt meals cost a few pounds more than they should, though others found the pricing fair. Children enjoyed the free arcade games, and a family birthday table of nine was given a complimentary round of drinks after a wait for food.

“First time here. Celebrating a family birthday. Very cosy environment, excellent food which arrived quickly. Amazed at the portion sizes. All meals were finished and priced well. My very picky Sons new place of choice and will be returning for his birthday next week.”

“It's a great place, in a fantastic little dell-like location. Old, classic pub feel inside, with great outdoor space for eating or drinking. Incredibly dog-friendly. The only issue is the food prices are about £4-£6 more expensive than they should be per meal.”

“I’ll keep this short and sweet. I had a family birthday meal there last night. Fantastic place - atmosphere, staff engagement and hot delicious food all 10/10 and great price too! And although we didn’t take our dogs on this occasion - dog friendly too which is a big bonus! Congratulations to you The Maltings you are an absolute credit to Warrington!”

“Can highly recommend The Maltings - from the warm welcome to the delicious food and all dog friendly! From the moment we arrived, we were met with a friendly smile and directed to our prebooked table. Lots of thought has gone into ensuring our fur baby was catered for too with dog beds, water bowls, treats and a dog menu as well. She was royally spoiled. The food was excellent and plentiful. The fish and chips, steak and ale pie, Motherclucka burger and Philly Cheesesteak wraps were gorgeous. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Here's to our next visit!! Thank you 😊”

“Lovely Pub with a great atmosphere and lovely, friendly staff! We booked on a Sunday as a group of 9 and the pub had experienced an extremely busy day. Despite this they looked after us as if we were the first customers they served. We had a little wait for food but they offered us a complimentary round of drinks for everyone which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The food was worth the wait, amazing quality, good portions and piping hot! We will definitely be returning! The children enjoyed the free arcade games too!”
