Quick info
About Bulls Head Inn
The Bulls Head Inn is a pub in Warrington at 33 Church St, with a bowling green at the back and six trading areas inside. An island bar in the main entrance area serves the whole pub. Two snug rooms with fixed seating lead off it for friends who want a separate space. The games area has a pool table and a darts board, and televisions show sport, including rugby on the big screen. A jukebox adds music. At the rear, a function room with its own bar gives groups a place to mark special occasions. The small kitchen turns out basic sandwiches and snacks. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return to the Bulls Head Inn above all for the friendly bar staff, described repeatedly as welcoming and accommodating. One reviewer says a bartender made a real effort to put a South African rugby match on the big screen, another got a free slice of lime in a Corona, and a third celebrated a birthday in a separate room that the staff handled well. Close behind is the old fashioned, traditional pub feel, with the separate side rooms for peace and quiet or gathering with friends, plus a bowling green at the back, a pool table, a jukebox and sports on the televisions. Several praise the good beer selection and reasonable prices. The caveats are small and specific. Food is limited to basic sandwiches and snacks, and one reviewer was disappointed that only one brand of wine was available. That same reviewer, who is disabled, mentions a step at the entrance, and says strangers in the pub helped them get around.

“A smashing old fashioned pub with friendly staff and customers. Lots of seating spaces in the bar and in side rooms if you want peace and quiet. Many sports shown on the televisions and there is a bowling green at the back.”

“10/10, I’m disabled so going anywhere is a chore on me and those around me. Connor the bar staff in duty was very accommodating and friendly. Patrons I didn’t know helped me around the mobility issues that come with old buildings and can’t be changed. Such as the step at the entrance (flat top available round back). Would recommend. Downside the food is just snacks but I knew that going in. The downside for me was the restriction on the wines as only Jack rabbit is available.”

Towards the rear of the pub is a large function room with its own bar, making it the perfect place to celebrate special occasions. The pub also has a small commercial kitchen which can be utilised to offer a basic food menu. The function room leads out to an enclosed courtyard where customers can enjoy a pint in the sun.”
